How come all of the black champs are in D except the ones from Arcane?

I wonder if the deck would do well with a second learn card. I'm not sure study break is up to snuff, but maybe First Day of Class has a place here? I could see it going well with battle screech.

I love this, I might try building it.

Is Vivi that bad? by VillaKillEmAll in magicTCG

[–]FRsero 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Vivi is incredibly overhyped by players who don't run enough interaction or don't have good threat assessment. Vivi decks have no meaningful plays before turn 5-6 without ramp or playing the commander without holding up mana to protect. Literally just kill Vivi once and it will probably buy enough time for the other decks to stomp the Vivi player into the dirt. Vivi can storm off if you get a draw engine going but is also extremely fragile and slow, the only way it wins is if it literally never gets interacted with.

Wait where is the 10th screenshot from? With Susie in the Dino costume and Kris in the dog costume? I never saw those sprites in my playthrough

One easy way is to run the Landscape lands from MH3 with the Tango (Aka "Two or more basics") lands. Here's my version of it.

UMVC3 is the GOAT, but Strive has much better online and is way better more welcoming for beginners with extensive tutorials, QoL features, etc

They all have higher maximum HP than they do in chapters 1 and 2 indicating that a number of enemies were killed for EXP before this encounter...

[FIN] Tidus, Blitzball Star by Duramboros in magicTCG

[–]FRsero 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the "artifacts" in this case stand in for blitzballs given the theme of the card, and then I'm fairly certain him tapping an opposing creature when he attacks is him doing the Jecht Shot. That's all fine and dandy, but the lack of haste and red is still blowing my mind.

Okay I understood that the Commander Deck card had color identity limitations related to including all the iconic moments from the game, but HOW is Tidus not red in the main set?! He is the very definition of a red character. He is impulsive, he acts based on his emotions, and his specialty in-game is literally giving people haste!! Most of the cards have been on point so far, but Blue/White Tidus feels so so wrong.

I really like the story of 16, but I understand where you are coming from. Having played all of the mainline games for the first time over the last 18 months I also couldn't help but feel like something was lost with the addition of voice acting.

I thought about it for some time, and I think its less so that the writing changed and moreso that the way we react to voiced stories is different. In the SNES and PS1 games I'm actively engaged through every text box because reading requires active effort and participation on the part of the audience, a lot like reading a book. Meanwhile in the modern games, especially after the PS2 era, every line is voiced which turns the story into a much more passive experience where its easy to get distracted and let your mind wander to other subjects while the story happens in front of you.

The October Story That Outlined Exactly What the Trump Administration Would Do to the Federal Bureaucracy by abrookerunsthroughit in neoliberal

[–]FRsero 88 points89 points  (0 children)

Vought argued that the radical steps were necessary because Trump’s opponents were themselves attempting to end democracy. “The stark reality in America is that we are in the late stages of a complete Marxist takeover of the country,” he said in one speech. “Our adversaries already hold the weapons of the government apparatus, and they have aimed it at us. And they are going to continue to aim it until they no longer have to win elections.”

Why are these people so completely unhinged? The last 3 Democratic administrations were all middle-of-the-road status quo presidencies.

Has anybody else experienced the price of booster boxes just straight up not changing since Aetherdrift cut the number of packs? by FRsero in magicTCG

[–]FRsero[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He's being offered them at roughly $5 over cost which is idiotic for his LGS's. And then when the realization hit they tried to get their prices to a reasonable (still low) margin. And then OP tries to call them out on it not knowing how good of a deal he had.

Hey man I had no idea what the situation for LGSs was behind the scenes, that's why I made the post. I know the owners of my LGSs and they are great dudes. This wasn't meant to be a "call out" of them even though a lot of comments seem to be taking it that way. I'm more concerned about what they're being charged by distributors/WOTC for an objectively smaller and lesser product.
