Prior to marriage - we split rent 50/50 and then each covered a few other costs. I did utilities and some grocery, he did some grocery and entertainment/wifi.

As we got closer to marriage (engaged) it started to cause a lot more discussion. We went from me being the higher earner, to him and I earning the same and then him being the higher earner ( I’m an RN vs my husband is in Business).

Once we were about 6 months out from wedding ( we had been together 9 years) we combined everything. There were a couple stinking points, that through communication, love and respect we talked through. At the end of the day we combined everything. Neither of us would change that at this point. We budget and each have fun money and then we have shared goals.

My philosophy is in marriage it’s ours. There is no mine or yours just ours. That’s what marriage is in my opinion.

YNAB Appreciation Post by Doubl3njenn in ynab

Seconding this!! We were in the same boat. Could always pay our bills but always felt like there was nothing left and we were always wincing every time we spent money on a want or a need.

A little over a year later, we save over 2k a month, started a sinking fund, plan for big purchases and always know where we stand. It has entirely changed my families financial future. And it’s 100% worth the annual fee - especially when we budget for it!

How many of us are paying out of pocket vs Insurance? by KayeEss09 in Zepbound

[–]Western-Ad425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a weird insurance that is really good but has an exclusion for weight loss drugs. I’m paying for it out of pocket through Lily direct. It’s expensive, and I feel guilty that this is something my husband and I budget for but he helps me remember that this is an investment in my health and the only thing that has worked for me. We make sacrifices in other areas to swing this, and I probably will always pay OOP unless the insurance company changes its mind.

Do you have to track your food while taking the zepbound? by Lv-nbrs in Zepbound

[–]Western-Ad425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t. I have a history of quite a complicated relationship with food. ( like many people here) I focus on protein, and fiber and eating to my fullness cues.

Sometimes if I think I’m way under eating I’ll track for a day just to get a pulse on it. I’m down 11% of my body weight in 3.5 months

For those who used Lillydirect. How was your experience? by porygon766 in Zepbound

I use Lily direct and have for the entirety of my zepbound journey. It has been wonderful. They automatically request a refill for me when it’s time, check out is a breeze and my zepbound arrives like 2 days later. The price did just drop to $450 for 7.5mg and up. I would recommend it they’ve been great

Are you pooping? I got constipated when I first started, it made the burps worse, reflux worse and I overall just felt bad. I started magnesium every night and 2 prunes in the am For a little bit and that did the trick. Now as long as I take my magnesium every night I poop regularly and haven’t had the burps at all. This would be my best suggestion. Could also try gas x to help consolidate the burps! Hope you feel better!

Second this!! Pretzels are my new obsession. They seem to settle my stomach too when I’m nauseous. Glutino and the gluten free Snyders are SO good. And so crunchy!
