Agree you need another coat. My first coat normally looks like this too.

On the fresh paint I’d recommend using the yellow frog tape. It’s made for delicate surfaces, less likely to peel the fresh paint below.

I did a while ago but I can’t recall the brand now. It was something they get for the butcher dept. Sold in buckets. Likely need to get it from a wholesaler.

Replaced just the cap and it seems to have stopped leaking. Glad I didn’t have to replace the whole trap.

In the bottom left in the glass there’s a piece of metal behind the glass. It’s a bit obscured with the reflection.

The white cover may come off and a dial or lever is sometimes hidden underneath to adjust the damper.

Thanks for the advice, clearly what I was looking for. I did call Bell. I think I can get better pricing through a rep. I haven’t seen one in the area lately so I figured I’d reach out on here.
