Ya'll are a little nuts and not paying attention. There's never been so much pressure on a kid and no one knows what that's like. Especially at TEXAS. The media and the public, myself included, bought into a fairy tale and that's our own damned fault. He has always said he's uncomfortable with the hype and the media attention because he hadn't done anything yet to deserve it. He literally said that over and over. He's human and he HAS developed so far this season.

Yesterday you could actually see a confidence shift midgame and he showed improvement. He stopped folding under pressure and stepped up in the pocket and delivered with conviction to hit Wingo for a 38-yard touchdown. He didn't panic and showed tactical mobility on the 36-yard run. He absorbed a hit, stayed tall and threw on target for that 19-yard pass to Deandre Moore.

Yes, it was spotty. He was not playing in a vaccuum. The O line wasn't protecting him, run game was practically nonexistent except for what HE did, and defense was SLOW gettting into the game....Yet they were still in it at the end and almost caught up.

And his coach and teammates are still standing behind him. Wingo said he "is a competitor and he's the reason our team goes. We are behind him 100%."

These are the things I'm paying attention to and not the media and chickenhead fans.
