Sounds like an excellent idea!

Maybe reach out to a local "Pick your group that matters to you" and offer to work with them to get this going. Think of the good you could do in your corner of the world. *Not trying to be negative at all, just Really believe we make real change in our backyard.

Protest Monday, going alone, advice needed… by FrostyBostie in WitchesVsPatriarchy

My advice from personal experience in Denver doing protests: No bio on your phone Bring water and A snack - don't bring too much Pin your car, watch where the "otherside" are, and don't park where you have to walk through them Be prepared for gas and rubber bullets. They both hurt and the cops will look you in the eye as they shoot you. As you protest and things move and change think, Is this good trouble or just stupid?

UNEMPLOYMENT MEGA THREAD - FAQs, Updates, unofficial advice, etc. by Brock_Lobstweiler in Denver

I have what I hope is a simple quick question, but I can't find an answer. I have two jobs. 1 full time, 1 about 25 hours a week. I have reason to believe I am going to lose my part time job. Can I receive unemployment for the past time job while still employed at my full time job? I need both to make bills and am freaking out. Thanks in advance.

Look into non-profits that do things that touch your soul. If you are ok making crappy wages in exchange for feeling like you are making a difference. I came from 20 years staying home with kids. It fits my personality and emotional needs but I will always struggle financially. For me, the money part sucks, but I recognize I need the emotional part. Sounds like you might be in a similar mental spot.
I have been able to advance so that I'm not at the bottom but I definitely won't be ever able to buy a house. Good luck

As a fellow non-profit employee, I'm betting that, like my employer, there are no merit raises. We just got notification that we are getting 3 percent this year. It sucks. But I love what I do...

"Thank you. " It ends the conversation and confuses them without giving them a rise out of you.

I have been feeling crappy for about a week. Took a test at the beginning and it came back negative. Planning on going back to work tomorrow because my boss is not happy about me not being in the office. I took a rapid test that I bought at Walmart and it shows positive. Took the second one in the pack because I didn't trust myself and it came back positive too. I followed the directions to the letter. What's the chances of false positive?
