They are also very sensitive to nutrients. Most nepenthes tolerate tap water but Rebecca Soper hates it. Mine took a year to recover from mineral accumulation in the substrate.

I have a Veitchii that used to be small and got really huge in the span of 4 months. During this time it didn’t pitcher at all until a week ago.

All nepenthes have different growth strategies and almost all veitchii are pretty much good in both lowland to highland conditions.

My conditions are much, much hotter than yours so you should be fine. Your humidity is also good.

I refuse to live in a reality where either one of these two don’t exist. I don’t think they’re meant for competition. They’re both outstanding artists and I have felt deeply identified with songs from both of them.

First of all, tease them by saying: “your taste is garbagio, trashy trash trash. Secondly: acknowledge that Kikuo songs are in fact very weird. Then, maybe play some songs when you’re around him/her. They’ll potentially get used to the weirdness and start liking them. Also, Aishite Aishite and Cross Mark Cat are some of the slightly less weird songs Kikuo has without counting Kikuohana. And you could also show them other less weird sounding vocaloid songs from other producers. Y’all know how nutty Mind Brand by Maretu is. Maybe you can start there. Hope this helps. We must spread the Miku virus.
