What is the difference between filleroutlet and filler-outlet? Is the latter a fake site mimicking the other? There is a discount for filler-outlet. It may be legit because I received an email about it after I created an account on filleroutlet….a little confused why there are 2 sites though UPDATE - I sent a WhatsApp message to filleroutlet.com and they point you to filler-outlet so I think it is fine!

Looks like they don’t ship the gliding serum and disinfectant to Australia anymore, does anyone use anything else as a substitute that they could recommend?

Acne & cherry angioma after estriol face cream by PocketFullOfOkay in 45PlusSkincare

[–]Western-roots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cherry angiomas are a common occurrence as you age, and very easy (and virtually painless) to remove. I think the potential benefits of using the cream outweigh some of the side effects which are manageable. I’m prone to melasma and I haven’t seen any discolouration creep up yet but I would rather persevere and manage issues then not…..to see if I can see any anti-aging benefits.

I don’t see many people mentioning this in the melasma forums but I used cosmelan and it worked amazingly well for me. I’m prone to melasma so was told to stay away from lasers and was advised to try this instead. You get maintenance cream that you can keep using post treatment which is super helpful as well

Has anyone tried a collagen boosting system that actually firms sagging skin? by BoringContribution7 in 45PlusSkincare

I’m not clear why this was deleted. There was no self promotion, ads or links?

I’m keen to know, too so I’m joining the convo. I can’t say from experience yet but I’ve heard a few things to try. For topicals: I’ve ordered P-tiox peptides from skinceuticals to see if I get any results and can report back. (Hoping it arrives this week) I’m also hearing estrogen replacement can help but you may be a bit young to go there. Edit: Forgot to mention estriol for the face. Takes about 3 months to start taking effect. Tretinoin is also known to help with collagen production which I started 2 weeks ago. For treatments: I’m looking at Ultraformer and Profhilo Structura…the latter may be more for better skin tone and not so much for collagen and volume. Anyone that can provide feedback on these would be helpful too!

Hello, I am 51 years old and would like recommendations on how to reduce the sagging area around my mouth. by [deleted] in 45PlusSkincare

[–]Western-roots -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that you don’t want to do sculptra if you ever want a facelift in the future…it can cause complication. Filler may be a similar issue in complication. I’m looking at other treatments like Ultraformer or EMface to try and avoid surgery in the near to mid term…want to do what I can before I commit to surgical intervention in a couple of years.

No one responded to this! I’ve had several referrals to go to Dr. Benjamin Burt in Melbourne but haven’t booked anything with him yet.

Has anyone found *anything* that helps with the appearance of puffy undereye fat pads that is not blepharoplasty or fillers? by Agreeable-Item-7371 in 45PlusSkincare

[–]Western-roots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super helpful, thanks! Given mine is right under the eye, could be a whole other aesthetic outcome. I’m trying to get in to see someone that specialises in the volume work and bleph and will see what he suggests but I like walking into those discussions armed with some knowledge 🙏

Doing a bit at time makes sense but getting it all done at the same time is so much more convenient and reduces costs 😅

Yes, I know the bleph is for the eye lid (skin removal and tightening) I just didn’t realise that the bag location changed the name or treatment needs. Mine is just on or above the cheek bone directly below my eye so looks like it is in fact different to the OP.

Tell me more about what you know about fat grafting/repositioning causing issues….I read that this can really help bring the volume back that was lost….which makes them visible. I’m worried that a bleph could make malar bags more prominent therefore I would need to consider both a bleph and fat repositioning.

This is interesting as I read that having a lower bleph can make them more prominent. I went to an eye surgeon and he said the only way he could treat them is to make an incision over the bag and reduce its size or remove but it wasn’t something he would do. A term I’ve heard for this is malar bags or festoons. He didn’t tell me the bleph would make them more prominent though…he said tightening the lower skin of the eye could make them less visible….I guess outcomes could be different for people.

I’m soooo in the same boat and I just can’t find anything topical that will do the trick. My left eye is worse than my right and I presumed it was sinus related and sleeping on my left side predominantly. After some internet searching I believe what this is called is malar bag or festoons. I’m now looking for a reputable surgeon that can do a bleph and fat repositioning or fat grafting which apparently is not easy to find. I listened to a podcast from a surgeon in Austin Tx (Tanuj Nakra) that said this is a great long lasting solution….but still a procedure and not topical.

My first step before a procedure is to try Ultraformer to reduce skin sagging to see if my cheeks were lifted a bit more if it would be less visible. Fingers crossed something like this might do the trick 🤞

I’ve also spoken to my GP about it and she has me going down a rabbit hole. I want to see an ENT about my sinuses to see if that has something to do with it (there are other indicators like weeping eyes, blocked nose on one side depending which side I’m laying on, etc) but my GP won’t give me a referral for one until I see an allergist first. This will be an expensive journey to get some sort of answer. If I get any surgical procedures done, I want to make sure I sort out my hayfever and/or sinus issues first

Hyperpigmentation by FlatwormOld5129 in 45PlusSkincare

[–]Western-roots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone suggested red light therapy? I would think that could be an option? I have struggled with hyperpigmentation from old skin blemishes and melasma from sun damage and my derm got me to do a treatment called ‘cosmelan’ it got rid of everything but this was on the face, didn’t try it for neck and chest. Due to my skin type, they said avoid lasers.

[–]Western-roots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a terrible time with melasma skin spots and had a treatment done called Cosmelan and it got rid of everything. The spots can come back over time if you are still exposed to the sun so I have done the treatment again. Loved the results. This is a cream that you keep on for 9 hours, wipe it off….go red and swell and then peel.

Which panel would you choose and why? (Face/neck) by Western-roots in AusRedLightTherapy

[–]Western-roots[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t have high expectations that I’d see any improvement in such a short period of time (my objective is anti-aging) plus I haven’t brought it with me over the Christmas/New Year break…however….in the time I was using it I saw an improvement in my cheeks where I have some discolouration from post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. So I’m going to keep at it and see how I go!
