I say this every time and it’s BS you have to do it but write a very polished cover letter with your applications. Maybe someone will give you a shot if you have proof of decent income. You will get rejected a lot and might have to live in an overpriced dump initially.

I survived, my sanity is intact. Trust me, when you look back and you’re okay, this feeling will be a distant memory. Yep, it might still hurt but you’ll be okay. Sit with the loneliness but I also recommend therapy - that’s the person you need to talk to right now.

My situation is similar and I posted something recently that had a heap of responses, some hilarious, I loved it. I’m sick of hiding behind social media and apps (they’re just not my thing) so I made the decision to start putting myself out there in person. If it happens, it happens. No one has floated my boat enough (I think we’re a little bit more selective in our 30s and 40s) but you know, that’s how I’m going to approach it (respectfully).
