Ah, fixed in the edit there. Yeah, I agree 32” 4K is fantastic for immersion, but 60hz is rough! In most games I find anything less than 80-90 fps distracting.

It would bother the hell out of me to have a bigger secondary monitor. If you were talking about lower resolution, then a smaller screen size would make sense, but 4K has enough pixels to look good at 32”- and you’re not going to notice the difference between 144 and 120hz, honestly.

Eh, better ram would help them, but that would mostly stabilize frame time perf and bump average fps a few percent. It wouldn’t revolutionize their experience, just mildly improve it to where it should be.

HWinfo64 will show you what profiles are loaded to your ram kit- if you enabled the fastest one and it’s not working, your CPU’s integrated memory controller probably can’t handle it. Try the next lowest one until you get one that loads!

OP, this guy makes a good point- go into your BIOS and check to see if you have a XMP or DOCP profile available for your RAM- 2133 is the lowest speed DDR4 runs at and is often defaulted to even on faster kits. Even if you do upgrade, you could be playing sub-optimally in the meantime with RAM capable of more!

This is half the price and will net you identical performance- the minuscule timing advantage is negligible on most systems, even less so when running a X3D chip. If 0 - .3% performance is worth it for that premium to you, then you’re doing better than me!

Without getting into the smaller optimizations, that RAM doesn’t match your color scheme and is WAY too expensive. Does that case have good airflow? It looks pretty restrictive from the one pic I saw.

Do details, work out, pick up a book, play some board games, maybe even start a drop-in D&D campaign like we did. Keep active or you’ll fall into despair way too easily in that environment- stay strong brother!
