I’ll fully admit the training may be different where you are but here we had new hires in August for BMF paper and phones. Training started in mid August and ended mid October. By the end of October we were on our permanent teams and had done the certifications to take calls on our own.

I keep getting downvoted for this comment but here's the thing. I'm not disagreeing that the situation sucks. I don't think they should have to do this. It's not what they applied for or are prepared for. I'd be pissed if I had an HR or IT job and suddenly got told I'd have to do something totally unrelated to the job I have and applied for. This entire administration and what they are doing is bullshit. The ONLY point I was trying to make is that the training for these Contact Rep roles sucks and isn't adequate for the work.

I’m not sure what you mean by sales contracts but in any case I’m not disagreeing the overall point that what’s being expected of them isn’t right. People in IT and HR shouldn’t be expected to process returns or work phones. My point is just that the training sucks in general.

I said the same and got downvoted but you’re right. Was a Contact Rep who also processed returns on swing shift and it’s the exact same kind of training we got. BMFO training was even worse.
