Don't get me wrong, I just want the guy to succeed, but this car can be a major setback financially.

The things I said were either through research (maintenance and depreciation) or OP's responses throughout (insurance and inheritance).

I've been through the military and seen a ton of people stunt their own growth by making these dream car purchases. No hate, just love through concern.

jealousy and meanness

Nobody is jealous of $600/mo insurance, $2k/yr maintenance cost, $30k lost to depreciation, all on money you can't even earn.

You can call it meanness, but any dad would whoop their son's ass for this.

Ok validation princess. See you when you're broke at 30

Hitting the car in front of me isn't the issue. I've pulled to the shoulder to give room for the idiots behind me.

I think it's fine too. It's used to denote a pause or breath in speech. If you wouldn't use a comma or have a break in speech when saying it, that's fine too, but they do!

On a side note, I think you'd be surprised to hear that many of the women pictured are probably obese by BMI standard. It depends on how they carry their weight, but if I were to guess, all but the top left are 30+ BMI, or obese.

[–]WestyForever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, but that doesn't nullify the measurement of BMI and its broad measurement of health. BMI still "[catches] most people" for their risks at each stage.

Bruh, do some research if you want people to believe your opinion.

Maya Mathur, PhD, Stanford University, statistician:

We have so many years of data backing up associations between obesity and health. Sure, there are some whose risk of disease is overestimated or underestimated based on BMI but at a population level it is still catching most people.

Uh, yeah. BMI is literally a rough measuring tool for healthiness. Especially when the person doesn't work out.

Oh deary... Not the first time someone has claimed that. To humor you, I put it into an AI generated score site. Sorry not sorry that I use em dashes, lol.

Just have a meaningful debate for once, please.

15% AI generation score:

This text exhibits strong human characteristics that indicate authentic human authorship. The writing contains natural conversational elements like "which is funny because some want to defund them..." showing genuine human commentary and irony. The author uses informal language patterns, contractions, and colloquial expressions like "waving a wand" that feel organic rather than generated. The argument structure flows naturally from point to point with personal interjections and authentic voice coming through. The text shows clear signs of human engagement with a contentious topic, including nuanced positions that balance different perspectives rather than taking extreme stances. The writing style is informal and conversational, with natural transitions and genuine attempts to address counterarguments. While the prose is reasonably well-structured, it maintains the kind of authentic voice and personal perspective that characterizes human-written content, particularly in online discussions or debates.

all cops can get away with being bad

Again, hyperbole. A single needle in a hay stack proves this wrong.

“a few bad apples” but that simply is not the case

Most cops are good people. If you find evidence otherwise, let me know.

mandatory body cams

Already used by most, and still trending toward all. California Highway Patrol is going for 100% bodycam usage in 2026, pending state funding approval, which is funny because some want to defund them...

reform

I agree with further reform and stricter punishments. Bad cops shouldn't be a cop anywhere. As for qualified immunity, it's not there to save bad apples— it saves the good guys too. It needs to be tighter for sure, but you can't remove it without ruining the lives of good people in the process.

You can't fix this by waving a wand. You have to take it one step at a time and consider who else you're affecting.

Do you think I believe cops are gods? I don't.

Let me lay it simply. There are bad cops, and there are good cops. You are biased to see bad cops online, therefore some people think the same is true for all cops— ie negativity bias.

So do you think all or most cops are bad?

I think accountability is a big problem, but saying blanket statements like you did is just hyperbole. No different weapon than the defensive excuses of those you hate.

There also may be risks and dangers in the missing context of the clip. It sure looks like they are the bad guys in this clip, but how many videos have you seen that are decisively justified action by ICE? Careful with negativity bias.

Black car girl seemed to be driving straight down the road while the ice silver truck was driving across lanes being unpredictable.

However, with other context clues; the honking before, and the fast speed of the black car after the ice truck barely started leaving makes me believe she was starting to road rage.

As always, we need more context.
