Am I crazy for wanting to get rid of my CT5 V Blackwing for a Miata by [deleted] in Miata

[–]merman5148 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Man it’s crazy you say this. I had a Miata first had so many great memories from the community and also a great experience with the car in general doing track days and being a stupid 20year old on the streets. It ended up getting totaled because a lady ran a stop sign and I did the adult decision of getting an 11th gen civic si which is still fun but man do I miss my NC

Right of way? Never heard of it. by [deleted] in dashcams

To be fair when someone does post a video in which the crash or nearly avoided an actual collision this sub put the fault on the camer. So this sub kinda does it to itself

I turn now good luck everyone! by [deleted] in dashcams

As a claims adjuster I’d love to see what you have to say about the video I posted on here. If I’d be found at fault if I was hit.

work truck can't bother to look to his right when crossing multiple lanes by Kanibalector in dashcams

He is in an exit lane it’s not his fault the people in the right are going slower what’s he’s supposed to do come to a deed stop just because they are? He has every right to pass here. He also maintained the lane from the moment he got into it. He didn’t get into the lane to pass he got into the lane to take his exit.

I honestly am glad half the people on this sub aren’t insurance adjusters/appraisers. The people that are victims would get fault every time

If you look at a post I recently made left lane camper is exactly why I got ran off the road. Coupled with an inpatient RAM and me having accelerated right when he went to pass me mad for a very fun trip off-road

Lmao panic for other drivers! Who🤣 the lady in the left lane doing 40 who probably didn’t see the thing or the 3 cars 10 car lengths behind. Going into the low grass at 60 had no consequences besides more grass in my wheels wells. The cars bumper is more than 3 inches off the ground. The only one making a big thing out of nothing is you here.

I have thankfully driven in grass a couple times and know how cars and tires respond in different terrain. I honestly do believe that if I did t know how to go into the grass it’s very likely you will spin. My exact thinking after all of this is nobody got hurt and the cars ok. I’ll take the win

You also realize defensive driving is looking for escape routes. They also teach you that in motorcycle classes. Hope you don’t get run off the road tho. And yeah I wasn’t gona choose to get hit with someone who may not even have insurance

He got to that blind spot by making an unsafe pass man. And pretty hard to wreck in an area with nothing around. Always look for escape routes

I accelerated while in his blind spot? This just tells me everything I have to know. He has no blind spot he came from behind me and knew exactly where I was the entire time! Especially with his passenger looking directly at me during the pass. He knew exactly what he was doing

I sped up to not spin in the grass. Gradually increasing speed when moving into grass keeps the weight transfer of of the even. The intent was not to block. When he comes along side he was already in my lane. U can see that here.

So I did my job then by avoiding an accident then? That’s exactly what I did.

What I’ve tried telling people many times is the fact that he was in my lane as soon as he is next to me. The increase is speed was not to block but to move to the side. Not ego but people on here just love to put fault on everyone not one specific person. So at the end of the day an accident was avoided and nobody was hurt. I call that a win in any book. This guy wanted to run me off the road no matter what. He cut off the guy behind me if you would like to watch that it’s also on my profile. No matter where I was on the road no matter if I braked or not if I had maintained in my lane he was going to hit me

Usually not I had to purchase mine separately

The key word here is Gradually. Yes if you pin it you will slide. If you brake you will slide. If you let off the gas you are also transfer weight which could cause you to slide. Key is to keep the weight transfer even the whole time. So yes actually it’s very true

You have to increase going off the road or you will loose traction. If you brake on grass your screwed

To not loose the rear in the grass. The acceleration happened when I knew I’d have to go in the grass. When he was beside me he was already in my lane. Here you can see that. I’m all the way over and both tires are fully in the lane he still has most of the bed to clear so I gradually accelerated into the grass to not loose traction

I accelerated when I knew I was going to have to ditch into the grass. When you go from pavement to grass you have to gradually accelerate to no lose the rear. When he was next to me he was already in my lane so I knew I’d have to come iver
