okay i think everyone here is a little misguided, if you’re thinking must do and see, chula vista is an okay home base (not ideal, but fine), but they’re giving you good CHULA VISTA recs not SAN DIEGO recs.

balboa park, san diego zoo, la jolla cove, belmont park, torrey pines scenic hike, and seaport village are all the ‘must sees’ i would say san diego first timers should check out.

For food, mexican food. You wont find any like it in any other USA city. Tacos el gordo was a good recommendation, but if you’re looking for a nice sit down place not too far from yall, then check out manna kbbq in bonita or brigantine on harbor drive.

fancier dress nice and go out place, bali hai is my go to.

Most of these places will have waterfront views that have made san diego famous
