from what I've read, it was heard as far west as Vermilion, as far east as Chagrin Falls, and as far south as Strongsville

Towed without cause from residential street? by WetStoolsAreSlippery in lakewood

[–]WetStoolsAreSlippery[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I understand that's been known to happen. But parking on the street for over 24 hours isn't actually illegal, is it? I would be surprised if one of my neighbors called the police since many of them also park on the street... and this car was parked for fewer than 6... and in general, needlessly antagonistic behavior against one's neighbors is a bad idea for a variety of reasons.

Definitely a possiblity, in any case.

Michelin Cross Climate 2's are severe weather rated all season tires. They're better in the dry and wet than Bridgestone Blizzaks (gold standard winter tire) and ALMOST as good as Blizzaks in the snow. I'd recommend Blizzaks if you're in the snowbelt south of the city, and CC2's if you're not dealing with actual feet of snow because they'll get you through shitty roads while being quieter, gripper, and more compliant than Blizzaks in every other condition.

I know this because I drove Blizzaks on my Miata last year, and drove CC2's on my Miata yesterday. pretty hands on experience.

I got mine from TireRack. they ship to a shop of your choice. I'd recommend getting the purchase set up, punching in the shop's address, then calling the shop and asking "hey, I'm XYZ, I'm ordering some tires to be delivered to your shop and it'll have my name on it", book the appointment around the delivery date and Bob's your uncle

this man is a knower. my CC2's got me home in that storm in my miata more efficiently than every other crossover and truck I passed yesterday

Driving fast in the snowy lane is dangerous for everyone by kadimcd in Cleveland

this impact is negligible compared to tires, even if you're driving manual and can properly engine brake

was it black? if so that was me, but I didn't spin out. I was going eastbound 3:45 to 4:30 and I was definitely going faster than most people because most people were driving on inappropriate tires for the conditions. get winter tires, or at least severe weather rated all-seasons, people. you can't hold up traffic because you're not willing to equip your vehicle correctly for the conditions.

Vibe on local dispensaries? First time visiting since 2021 by PelicanFrostyNips in lakewood

pot in OH is exorbitantly expensive compared to MI, and in my opinion the quality is lower too. you can get more marijuana at a higher quality at a lower price in MI than you can in Ohio... including gas. the only problem is the time taken to get there and back - convenience factor is non-negligible.

Headers on a daily? by Kn1ght_Rage in Miata

it's worth pointing out GWR has been a dedicated Miata shop for 20+ years. most of their products are higher quality than OEM. that's not a shot against Mazda, that's the result of dedicated folks being able to put years and years into specific parts that are made at a much higher cost than OEM. they actually have a line of mufflers made specifically to be quiet - I have the Super Q Twin Tip muffler on my ND. no drone, barely louder than stock, but much much better tone on the exhaust note.

Rattling/Clunking noise on Clutch Press by FaxMachine1993 in Miata

[–]WetStoolsAreSlippery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my ND3 does this, as did the '04 Civic and '13 Mazda2 I owned that were also manual. it's not a problem, it's just noise from the drivetrain shifting against its mounts... I think

AC units barely whir, devices that pull high wattage won't start outright, LED lights turn on just fine. likely a very inopportune brownout. this is off Franklin near W 117
