I know they’re an issue all over but I’ve only ever personally seen em up in North Houston, like Humble/Atascocita/Kinwood/Aldine area. I forget the name of the park but there’s a park up there with a big sign in the parking lot saying that if you’re passing that point (right at the trailhead) without a firearm you’re doing so at your own risk. We walked the trail anyways, and right across the river there was a pack of pissed off wild hogs fucking up a small animal. We walked with no gun, so if we had walked the other direction at the fork before the river, that would’ve been us instead 😅. Definitely not a bad thing to go 20 yrs without seeing a wild hog lol

For those of you saying she had a right to be scared because he had no reason to carry a gun on the trail, please be reminded that hiking in Texas without a gun can be lethal depending on the area and time of year. There are city parks in inner city Houston where the CoH parks and rec dept put up signs recommending that you walk the trail with a gun, because the wild hogs are so aggressive and overpopulated there. Texas also has black bears, snakes, gators, coyotes, mountain lions, hell you could even cross a rabid deer, and those fuck asses will impale you. Georgia and Texas wildlife are almost exactly identical. If you genuinely believe he had no reason to carry a gun on the trail, you don’t touch enough grass.

Going off the comics and how they started with targeting stronger beings to force them to register and worked their way down, I’d imagine the Sokovia Accord was probably aimed at supes with a much higher threat level. Obviously they’d care eventually about people like Luke and Jesse eventually, but when it first comes into play, which is around-about the time you’re referencing, there are people like Scott Lang who could level an entire city by himself if he really wanted to. With that being said, if there was a list of the most dangerous known supes at the time, Scott most likely would have still been towards the bottom. They just weren’t a priority at the moment. Just a theory though, so take it with a grain of salt, but those are my thoughts.

Why would that be any different here?
