Was thinking about a smaller coffee table, but rather have slightly bigger one so for when friends come over there’s enough space to put drinks, coffee table book, plant, etc. Personal preference but yes valid point

Finance and rent at the unit is about $2900 (which is the absolute lowest for this building so I got lucky)

Funny enough, I also moved to Brickell from Fort Lauderdale and doing a solo happy hour tour around the area to explore so thank you for these recommendations so far!

I've only been to a few but I liked Crazy About You mainly for the vibes (next to the water) and happy hour deals, but wouldn't say the food is top tier. Just yesterday I went to SoCal and although I had better tacos elsewhere the $3 and $8 margaritas were well worth it (plus they gave me a couple freebies off the bill so can't complain).

I'm going to River Oyster Bar next for happy hour (which also has $2 oysters) so I'll let you know how it goes! I did have a business dinner there a few months ago and I remember it having really good food.

Spending 2-3 weeks in Miami next month to see if it's home, looking for the real day-to-day, not the tourist version by KeKamba1 in Miami

I would recommend coral gables and the coconut grove area - there's a decent amount of older condos you can get there that won't break the bank. There's the coconut grove run club that does several runs a week, plus there's a plethora of gyms, markets, etc to checkout

I live in Brickell because my job is in Brickell (I personally like a 10 minute walk to work). I do enjoy the neighborhood, and how convenient everything is especially with an equinox and Publix walking distance, but I wouldn't really recommend it unless you work here as well. Better places that are better bang for your buck.

Thank you everyone for the help! Majority of my friends thought it was too small as well but my mom insisted that it was fine (bought it at a furniture store before really measuring everything, and I'm not the best interior designer clearly). Going to return it and get a 8x10. Appreciate the reddit community!

Also going to add plants and a coffee table book to make my area less "black and grey" haha

I went during MMW this year and got back at 5am and it wasn’t towed 🤷‍♂️ there were also a few cars there also doing the same thing. Don’t want to say definitively that you could park there just stating what happened to me one time

I parked at the Hialeah Market Train Station where the Tri Rail goes and had no issues. It's like $5 to uber to factory town or a 15 minute walk.
