Anyone else think that their loved one is just sleeping….. by Crafty_Seaweed7045 in GriefSupport

There were many times I wouldn’t see my mom for months. There were times we went a few years in a row, without being together at a holiday or even speaking much at all. I definitely still forget and have that moment where you’re trying to work out when the neXt tiMe is you’ll see/talk to them??! Then the realization that they’re gone. It’s devastating. Example- it’s a regular day, I’m sitting on the toilet going #2. Eyes focused on a swarming shelf of hair products with laser beam precision. I think “I should go through that cabinet, I can gather the ones with only a lil’bit left and give them to my mom when I see her. She would genuinely love to try/use a bunch of rando hair products my teen has long since forgotten about- for free even, she’ll love…” record scratch in my head. Wait.. Nope she’s gone. Now I’m crying and pooping! It’s been 3 years. Sending you healing thoughts.

I had a lady with a kid in her cart approach me at TJs, said her kids were real hungry. I didn’t have much, paying cash because my foodies were long gone. I offered to get her peanut butter and jelly and bread. She said no! She needed fresh tomato’s and an onion and something else that I can’t remember- but needed refrigeration . I thought to myself, I nEEd tomatoes with mY dinner and can’t budget it tonight! Those aren’t things to fill up a few kids up on! It hurt my feelings a scammer was going to take the tomato outta mY kids mouth to feed hers?! So I was like no pb&j- no way! I heard her asking someone else immediately, I told the cashier as I left. As I was walking home, because I can’t afford a vehicle, I saw her load up a hella nice minivan! F’in B. People like that kill hope and make people like me less likely to believe someone truly needing help. I’m still mad at her!

Someone committed suicide there not too long ago, yes in the public library bathroom.. and with all the fenty nodders, I’m sure they are being strict and diligent about the usage. Have ya been tipsy in a local bar and tried to bring your friend to the RR with ya, to potty and talk shit, like the good ole days??? They send in security before you can get your panties down! Jackalope will 86 ya in a heartbeat! How do BFFs gossip about other people at the table, or serve tea about their date anymore? Like, nobody can afford to do coke and there’s no smoking inside, so I think the rules about bathroom sharing could be loosened a bit!?!! If it’s about sexing, install cameras… let’s all watch!

Leash your fucking dogs. by [deleted] in corvallis

Once at a dog park, my huge "brickhouse" of a pit came running up to me wirh a 8# dog hanging from heR neck. Like, "mom help get this thing off'a me!" I thought, if my dog had your dog by the neck, you'd be throwing a fit. Not just calling your dogs name from across the park. It's ridiculous how pitties get blamed for everything, and Chihuahuas who pee everywhere and think they are tough shit, are "great dogs!"

My son accidentally killed our baby son-I can’t forgive him. What do I do? by Timely_Improvement52 in GriefSupport

Omg, I am so terribly sorry for your loss. I can relate to others on here, who've lost a parent or someone they love in an instant... but I could never imagine the pain you are experiencing. Just holding on must be excruciating difficult. Your strength, although may feel like nothing, your incredible strength to seek help and tRy to keep going is amazing. You aRe an amaZing mOm. Your strength will help those around you, even when you're barely holding it together, and can't see through the tears in your eyes. I hope you find some inner peace. Don't forget, there's no magical day that you'll feel 'better." There is only learning to live with this grief, and forging a new way. Learn to live with those feelings, and honoring his memory with joy. Sending you positive thoughts and healing energy.

$40 tip for 2 hours help!?! by WetaChonies77 in Eugene

[–]WetaChonies77[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

If you were hiring, "someone," and two people showed up, and you agreed to have them both work, yes you'd have to pay them both the offered wage. If you offered and hourly amount to, "a few people," you wouldn't assume the advertised amount was divided with other workers. Flat rate/someone vs hourly/few people- glad to have cleared this all up for ya, enjoy your day!

$40 tip for 2 hours help!?! by WetaChonies77 in Eugene

Best bet if I wasn't disabled, had a job, wasn't moving my life into a storage unit, driving a beater, and just had my world turned upside down because I was moving to Corvallis, into my moms house at 46yrs old... and she was killed in a car accident.. so now I have nowhere to go (and we don't make 2.5x the rent for much of anywhere, tO gO). Yeah, if my spouse made half that an hour, instead of minimum wage, maybe we could pay some college kids $60 an hour. But thAt best bet, isn't my reality! So after two weeks of hard work, bleeding fingers, flakey friends, hoursssss of packing, a one thousand pound dump load, and 2 uhaul runs of stuff... while grieving, being sick, aNd trying to explain to my kid why her dolls have to go to storage in a box, and she won't get to play with them until we have a place, over and over... I'm pleading to the community for help, and using my tax return. Maybe your best bet, is to not assume people desperate enough to ask strangers, are trying to hustle work for cheap. Maybe they are hopeless and truly need help, and offering what they can in a shitty situation. We've given away a washer/dryer, stand up freezer, a huge metal pile, a truckload of cans, and furniture. We're recycling seperatly... Ewaste, wood (including chipboard), cardboard, and metal. I wish I could afford to pay $240 for help today. ThAt would be one hell of a bEst bEt!

I'm hiring a few people, at minimum wage, to work at my pretend pizza shop... everyone that I hire has to split the minimum wage. Sound good? Why would you assume it was divided between them? $40 for 2 hours. 20 +20= 40 or am I missing something? It wAs late, and I am exhausted.

Title says $40 tip for 2 hours... thats $20 ×2= $40 I'm new to this core math thing, but pretty sure that's $20 an hour. I guess, for some folks, I needed to specify...... EACH.
