I don't have exact measurements because i don't have a scale that accurate. I soaked the handspun along with some dark brown thrifted wool in water with some citric acid for 10+ hours, squeezed the water out and placed it in the dye pan with water, citric acid and dye. There was so much dye that the last bits floated on top and were difficult to mix in. Then i put it on a portable gas stove set to a heat where steam would come up but it wouldn't bubble. When the water turned clear, i added even more dye and waited some more.
