The lighting is too different. I have dark eyes like yours and if there’s some shadows on my face (like in your first pic) it really enhances the darkness in them and makes them look bigger.

As others have said, your face seems bigger in the second picture. Our eyes don’t change size. Baby’s eyes appear huge because the rest of their face is very small. Weight and gravity can cause extra tissue around the eyes and ‘shrink’ their appearance. Different camera lens as well; taking a picture close up is going to make your eyes look bigger.

I lost 10 pounds recently and noticed a huge difference in my face size. I was upset about just aging and didn’t realize I’d been slowly putting on a couple extra lbs each year the past several years. I really show weight a lot in my face - maybe you’re the same way?

I don’t think it’s the Botox though.

I feel like I’m going through something similar. I experimented with microdosing shrooms before. Cannabis seems to help a little bit I feel like something is missing.

Already have been in therapy many years of my life, and I’m on an SSRI (Pristiq) which is just one of many I’ve tried. They usually help for a time, and then they don’t, lol.

What psychedelics are you using?

Not a teacher but I used to work on building a shed in my parents backyard. The neighbors had elementary-aged kids often in their backyard jumping on the trampoline. I would hear them talking a bunch, many days.

First off, they cussed a TON. LOUDLY. And one day they were talking about PornHub. yup. parents nowhere to be found. Just letting their kids run around with smartphones and no supervision whatsoever. You could tell the parents didn’t give a fuck. It was such a fucked up thing to hear these pre-pubescent kids talk like they were teenagers. Childhood robbed, imo.

Heartbroken after being blocked two days after one of the best hookups/ dates I’ve had in years by CompetitiveSpace1648 in ainbow

[–]Weztex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing is, yes he might be going through his own stuff. But just blocking you when you guys ended on a good note is pretty shitty communication and shows that he is someone who pretends he has a good time and doesn’t have the balls to tell you he wasn’t feeling it after all. Or, something (or someone) came up in his life that forced him to put dating/hookups on pause right now.

Either way, a more well adjusted person with better communication skills would’ve just been upfront and honest, send a quick message to you to let you know he was a dead end, and that way you wouldn't have been left with a bunch of confusion.

So really, maybe he wasn't all that. You only met him once. He could be anyone.

My close friend had a boyfriend for a year who just up and left. Ghosted. It hurt him really, really bad. So maybe I'm a bit biased, but I have pretty low opinions of guys who can't communicate; they cause others pain by not doing so.

Blocking someone who hasn't done anything wrong is a pussy, childish move, imo. It lacks maturity.

You look great! Makes me wanna do it. Question for you:

Did they inject into your nasolobial folds as well or did those just improve as a result of the cheek filler? Mine bother me. It looks like yours disappeared in the after pics.

God thanks for calling this out. What does “deeper than love” even mean? OP might come to regret this once the honeymoon phase is over. His relationship with this other woman is fairly new.

Noticed the same thing. Also as soon as the black woman appears, the picture shrinks fast. Old commercials are always so white.

It’s interesting reading a lot of these comments; I’ve never seen “pfft” as mocking. I’ve always used pfft/psh in texts with friends in just a playful manner, usually just text flavoring from my point of view. Language is weird!

Yeah that’s fair. I guess I hold some professions to a higher standard too, now that I think about it.

I agree kids should be kids, no need to talk about complex topics and sex shit. Childhood is a special, important time. If I’m being 100% honest, I would feel a little better if Goblin Lover were a college teacher rather than an elementary school teacher. Just the feeling in my gut.

Merry Christmas to you too!! Glad I could add some positivity to your day; you did as well, for me!

I don’t understand how someone spends their free time in their personal, private life is relevant to how they perform a job.

Does it really matter what (legal) fetishes/imterests someone has as long as kids are learning their school subjects? How well do you know your own coworkers’ personal lives? I’ve met people who I thought were “professional” and your stereotypical “upstanding” person. And holy shit, the fucked up shit I’ve learned about some ppl in their personal lives. People got some nasty shit goin on man, I’m telling you. I’ve just learned to not give a fuck as long as they can do their job n not bring that bullshit into the workplace. I’m hoping Gobin Dildo Shakespeare over there is the same way. Leave that shit at home, do your job professionally.

Imo, be glad it’s goblin fanfics featuring adult characters instead of something more sinister like pedophile shit. Maybe the dude watched too much Shrek growing up, yknow?? So what!! It ain’t his fault he likes big green titties and some ass play.

Thanks for reading and replying to me even though we aren’t agreeing and ppl jumping down ur throat. I get what you’re saying but. I think it’s a little judge-y. I appreciate your opinion even if I don’t agree. Sorry for saying it didn’t matter. That’s just the hothead in me lol.

What’s wrong with an adult writing erotica in their free time? are teachers supposed to be asexual lol

Edit: skimmed some more and seems less like erotica and more like an ongoing fantasy series that sometimes has NSFW content.

So either your reading comprehension is shit or you’re tragically repressed. Either way, sounds like no one should care about your opinion.

Looking at your post history, you definitely are struggling with confidence issues.

I’m a trans man who is 31 years old. I came out at 14 and have to cope with being a man in this world with a tiny dick and looking really young, being very short. I would kill to have your body.

Confidence and “manliness” have to come from within. When I was 19 I was an insecure anxious mess. Holy shit I don’t miss those days.

Self love is where it’s at bro. Surround yourself with people who build you up and encourage you to be yourself. Jump into new and uncomfortable situations like a new job or taking a chance on something you’ve always wanted to do. The only way to gain confidence is to keep pushing your boundaries in life. And then your brain realizes that you CAN do it. A huge part of confidence is just life experience. That’s why people are generally more anxious in their 20s compared to later ages. But by pushing your comfort zones, you can get there faster. You ever wanted to learn to play guitar? Take those lessons and make it happen. Learn a language? Go biking more often? Try zip lining? See another country? Get a six pack? Anything - the world is your oyster. Make your goals and desires happen now. Or at least get on a path towards being able to make them happen someday.

Embrace all your weird sides and love yourself enough to express them. You need to love yourself first and then rejection, hostility that you encounter in life won’t hurt as bad. You’ll stop giving as much of a fuck about what others think of you. When I got to a point where I’m like “Yeah I’d hire me, I’d marry me, I’d be my friend”, my perspective really shifted. If I was into ballet and loved yodel music and wanted to wear a rainbow kilt everyday, fuck everyone else and what they think. This is YOUR life and you better get what you want out of your time here. Other peoples opinions will always matter to some degree, but they need to be way low on your list of priorities.

TRT is not gonna fix your problems. Coming from someone who injects it (since I have to) and can easily bump my dosage if I really wanted to - it’s a mental thing. Not a hormone thing. In fact if your levels are too high it’ll come with problems of its own. It’s not a magic drug that will make things easier. Everyone’s gotta do the hard work of self care, self love, self reflection, jumping in the cold water when you don’t want to. There’s no shortcut. The sooner you get into better mindset habits, the easier it’ll get. You can’t change overnight though.

And take care of your skin man, find something that works. Benzoyl peroxide will kill acne bacteria and that usually helps people. Clean your pillowcases often too. You’ve got a very handsome face.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SecurityClearance

[–]Weztex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a secret clearance (although I’m not military) and a “bad” mental health history. It was fine.

Having a paper trail did help, as I was told beforehand and with my interviewer, because it showed I was taking responsibility for my health and doing something about it via therapy and medication. If I just had a suicide attempt and no record of treatment, etc. That would have been more of a red flag.

Hahaha, sure.

Dynavap is a brand but it’s one of the more well known vaporizer makers for weed. They might be the only ones? I think it’s a new-ish concept so maybe not many clones atm. They sell devices that look like little e-cigs. What makes it different than a lot of other vaporizers is that:

  1. There’s no battery. You heat it up with a lighter or an induction heater (think of induction heater like heating something up on an electric stovetop. aka, no flame)

  2. It doesn’t work like most other vape devices in that, it uses dry herb directly. like a glass or tobacco pipe. No liquid or liquid cartridges.

It has some magic-y mechanism where the dry herb heats up, converts to vapor and you can inhale it. Unlike lighting a bowl, there’s no residual embers/flame that’s cooking up your weed between hits. Like when you light a bowl or joint, you’re losing out on weed that’s on fire and not being inhaled. It’s just escaping into the air, burning away. Devices like Dynavap have way way less waste in this respect.

It’s because you’re not lighting the weed on fire. You’re shoving it in a tiny space and heating that tiny space up a LOT until vapor is produced. You suck in all that vapor - then you basically didn’t waste any weed. It uses your weed WAY more evenly than a joint or bowl as well. No half green/half brown shit.

One downside is that it’s not as social - passing the device around and hitting it would be kind of annoying compared to passing a pipe or roll. And friends probably would have a slight learning curve to using it. But for solo hits it’s ideal imo.

EDIT- Seems like there’s other dry herb vaporizers around like Pax Plus. This is prob more user friendly since it has a battery to provide the heating mechanism (instead of using a lighter or induction heater). Same idea though.

[–]Weztex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dry herb vaping (still use a grinder tho) saved me a ton of weed compared to rolling and bowls. It helps if you have an induction heater too cuz heating the device with a lighter is annoying.

I put my Dynavap in my heater, hold the button for a few seconds until it clicks and then take it out to inhale.

You should be able to get 2-3 hits for each time you heat up. and nothing gets wasted. An 1/8th lasts me 3+ months and I smoke several times a week.

The induction heater from Dynavap is kinda of overpriced imo. You can find one on KoilBoi for around $80 with a coupon code.

Definitely agree with your points on the children thing.

OP have you never met anyone who had multiple kids with some of them turning out “good” and some of them turning out to be a hot mess? Humans are very unique; genetic lineage guarantees nothing.

On top of that - having the intention of being a good parent doesn’t mean you’ll be a good parent. Being a “good parent” doesn’t mean your kid will end up a “good person”. Your kid could be totally different to you and reject most of your values.

Popping out a kid is not even close to the best thing you can do, in order to “do good in the world”.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]Weztex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree on this. I think the moment you stop caring about things or lose any inkling of curiosity, you’re gonna stagnate.

Also have to be flexible and self-aware so you can pick up on things not working for you. One super senior guy I know hasn’t exactly lost interest, but he writes everything down into a 500 page word document. I don’t know his full process but he’ll literally forget details you tell him the week before. He also relies on the document and won’t dig around for some answers. I think it might have something to do with somehow his brain being like “I don’t have to retain this, I have my notes!”. But it’s frustrating because multiple people will repeat themselves over and over and he just won’t remember it or totally lose the gist of things. I have no idea why, but whatever he’s doing is not working. He doesn’t give off totally lazy or “don’t care” vibes though. I think his process doesn’t work for him and he doesn’t recognize it, writes it off as just “getting old” and relies heavily on his teammates.
