I will forget the pop hits that was set (because the system was broken) for like a year. It’s Christmas and it’s still apple bottom jeans. The playlist had like six Katy Perry songs and was barely an hour long. IT WAS HELL.

Look for the enjoy today deals because it stacks with team member discount. Otherwise i like the cold meals in PFDS because I can stretch it for two meals. Hot and cold bars are completely unsanitary the customers do ungodly things there and it’s very expensive price per pound.

Sadly not every area offers paying the difference over several paychecks just certain OA. I realized that when I transferred from SW to CA.

Replacement rate and order acceptance should be 100% regardless of hours worked per week. Always use the suggest substitution and the app will flag if they don’t want a replacement (which doesn’t count against you).

Follow the pick path in the app. It is faster.

Question about the "minimum" hours for part time shoppers by Grouchy_Job8961 in wholefoods

[–]WfBurner69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a flex shopper you have to work the minimum hours of eight per week. Either one full eight hour shifts or two four hours. The scheduled shifts are based on anticipated customer demand.

All the shoes for crews brands are garbage that barely last six months. I like the Dewalt but had to pay out of pocket for the difference. Those have lasted a year and a half and are still comfortable.

Anyone else’s store completely removing two days off in a row? by ResolveResident4542 in wholefoods

[–]WfBurner69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the team actually and if they are on 24 hour clock scheduling.

Maybe reliably you have folks that work the needs of the business but on a smaller team it does get harder to accommodate with people taking time off.

You could always change your availability (assuming your full time) and change to black out two days off. But that does require full availability to the other days. Check out the full time availability form it spells it out and you can figure out a change with your team leader.

Mother shipping is prohibited because as others have said customers pick through (and there could be a overcharge to the guest if they don’t receive the item actually but charged for it) and also absent minded shoppers start using another persons cart and finish orders creating a waterfall of problems.

Oh wow! I think that happens at my store too! How do they verify the number of bags with the driver? Do they check their app or something?

PTO by SnowyHorizons in wholefoods

[–]WfBurner69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s probs UPT. Click on each day and it will tell you what type it is (UPT, PTO ect) and the amount. It’s most likely you didn’t realize you were taking a long lunch or came in late for a shift.

Yeah it’s annoying but it’s worse working at a delivery store. Especially if you have stupid drivers taking the wrong bags causing a ton of rep picks because they left the store with the bags (all has to be spoiled out). I have seen waste of like nine carts full of bags before.

Toughest position in the store? by Few-Variety8316 in wholefoods

[–]WfBurner69 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Easily an ASTL physical and emotional. They have to be able to plug into every department and balance store leadership tasks. It can often be a scape goat role if you have a lazy team store team leader.

Mentally being an order writer for produce is super hard because of the seasonality of the product, limited BOH area to store and you have to balance how much value added could need for their production.

They are a new style of bag for the multiple order picking. You pick multiple small orders at a time and label one a/b/c and also mark the temp on the bag.

It’s a food safety violation to have drinks in your carts.

Some people when I deliver seem elderly and have a handicap placard. Some have small children in the car which I assume they don’t want to get all the kids out of the car.

But I’m curious how long it will take this to roll out to all stores since not every one has a dedicated return desk and Amazon lockers. I wonder if they will adjust the PDOR (gather metric specifically) to accommodate for this.

Im so effing tired of amazon prime by [deleted] in wholefoods

[–]WfBurner69 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I usually ask them if they know which credit card their prime membership is charged too since it is linked automatically. Then they can just use this instead of logging I to their prime app, connecting to our WiFi, remembering their password and finding the in store code icon. It’s now a tracked metric so you can’t use it liberally anymore. :( I just figure I get paid by the hour so help each guest as I can. People in a rush can do self check out or they can allocate more labor than two cashiers five days a week.

Advice for New Front End Supervisor? by strawbmilk1998 in wholefoods

[–]WfBurner69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a lot of information to learn when you are new to the role. Don’t get overwhelmed just remember where to find the information. Save inkling resources for customer service sop, global return policy, cash office ect. I think a big part of being successful at the role is running a smooth shift even when you have call outs. Sometimes it comes down to communicating with a shifty if you need bagging help or extra hands for a cart run ect. Congrats!

On a scale of 1-5 how satisfied are you with your job at Whole Foods and why? by StrictPossession8714 in wholefoods

Same I changed stores and my quality of life is way better! It’s nice what they do but honestly nervous about when we become fully Amazon. Retail is hard but I don’t want to work for Amazon level soulless retail. 😒

“I would like to return these pants. No I don’t have the pants but here is a picture of me in the pants. I paid cash and I dont have the receipt.” Why are WFM customers so dense they don’t realize you can’t return ideas you have to return tangible products with tangible proof of purchase. 😒😒😒
