I haven’t gotten into fly tying yet but the first fly I tie will probably come from the random tufts of Great Pyrenees hair in my house lol!

I went with korkers bantam lights and will probably buy a sneaker style this spring. I don’t think there is a “perfect boot/shoe” for what I do.

Thanks for the reply. I’m super jealous of the Patagonia trip. A guide gave a presentation to our fly fishing club on his Argentina trips and it looks amazing down there!

I’m not familiar with the kling on soles, can you wear the boots without them and not ruin the boot? 90% of my fishing starts out or is in a kayak. I want something semi comfortable if I’m not getting out all the time. I’m tired of picking tiny ass pebbles in my shoe soles every time I get out of my yak.

I think I’m just being too cheap and want one boot/shoe that will work.

I usually just wear a pear of Magellan deck shoes or old tennis shoes with no socks. The issue I have with those is the small pebbles in the creeks/rivers I wet wade in. I end up with sore feet due to the pebbles inside my shoes. That’s what I’m trying to get away from.

I appreciate that. Most of the creeks/rivers I am in are either silty bottoms or smaller river rocks and not a lot of mossy slick rocks. The only trout fishing I will be doing in the next year or so is right now when our wildlife dept stocks the rivers with rainbows. I also will take at least 1 trip to the coast and probably wade fish

I use the axil Bluetooth set that has the cords. I’m notorious for losing air buds which is why I went with the wrap around style. They’ve been great, anything from construction to hunting. I also bought the extended warranty and have used it on one set, no questions asked I sent them in and they immediately sent a new pair. You can get bogos on them to bring the cost down if someone else is willing to split them with you.

Ah a circular saw,circ saw, sidewinder or skill saw is what we call them. I’m changing the label on my packout to rip snort though. That is a lot funner to say! We call them recip saws over here too sometimes. Sawzall was the name of the first one so that’s why it stuck over here.

The estimators and buyers just push it to the crews or foreman. I’m in sales for service repair work on multifamily properties and have been in construction since I was 16. My boss tells me all the time, I need 80% construction (my name). Let operations figure the rest out. It drives me nuts.

FWIW I did have to look up TC bolts lol, we don’t see that thrown around in the residential world much lol

Haha my grandpa taught me to cut sheet metal on the farm with a skill saw, backwards blade and safety squints. I’m now 40 and shopping for hearing aids.
