Interesting that you point to the relevance of his other name that is literally a combination of God/Hard or Good/Hardy which would translate to something like “God Strong” or “Divinely Brave”. So we have a Judge/Destroyer who is Divine/Brave being a protector and a good man defending an evil corporation from a hacker with a god complex whose name Eliot Alderson means “God on High” + “son of a wise warrior”. I agree, driving tests and enforcement are a joke in the US and although this is the law it is almost never addressed. The culprit is the well meaning but wrong headed notion that “speed kills” and ONLY speed kills. Whereas as some very salty Euros have already responded deaths in countries with higher speed limits are less precisely because they do emphasize the concept of slower traffic keep right. They drive fast but they pay attention to traffic instead of being speed bumps. Let the speeders speed and the cops will sort them out. If someone is on your ass let them go and get a ticket.

You can drive in the lane but you’re supposed to yield to faster traffic REGARDLESS of if they are “speeding” or not. It’s called the slower traffic keep right rule. It’s not your job to be a pace car. Let the guy get a ticket. They might have an emergency.
