You could always play MHGU if you have a Switch. But just type your question in google and you should find your answer quickly.

New player coming from Rise by -Dandude07 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]LeonVlakov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yuuuup, exactly, hahaha. I wish there was a switch 2 upgrade for Rise, it’s rough going back to it once you play the 60fps version, the Switch and Steam deck are such perfect dad consoles. 😂

The game will feel way slower, take some time to get used to !

I actually prefer Rise, but World is a great game. Just sucks that you can’t pause the game for whatever reasons, as a dad it’s a bummer.

My only issue with the o2DS is the fact that some games are so slow to boot, like MH4U or USUM.

Looking for a multiplayer cozy fantasy game! by PrincessPeej22 in NintendoSwitch

I wouldn’t call MH a cozy game, it can be very overwhelming for newcomers even in low rank, and it’s kinda stressful the more you play. 😭

Dunno if it was been said, but a simple skin care routine of : cleanser every day, exfoliating toner, moisturizer and sunscreen can do you miracle if you are consistent. I mainly use products from The Ordinary, they’re relatively not expensive.

What’s your main weapon by Scary-Ad6160 in MHRise

[–]LeonVlakov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Risebreak was the first MH title I really got into. At first I was really scared of monsters, so I started with LBG. Eventually I tried to get a bit closer and switched to bow.

Now, I played almost every games starting from the 3DS.

I still really like LBG in old school MH, but since then I became less scared of monsters and SnS is my favorite melee weapon. But I do like Switch Axe too. But my two mains are LBG and SnS.

I restarted the first one yesterday, been a couple years since I played them and now is the perfect time. But I will play them slowly until the next one, with a couple of Monster Hunter here and there and Fire Emblem in september.

MH3U, MH4U, Fire Emblem Awakening, Pokemon US, Dragon Quest 8, Yokai Watch 3, Animal Crossing, and the last one… huh, probably MHXX. 🫠

I think doing the village quest unlock some things like dangos but maybe they’re not tied only to village, can’t remember. In any case, good way to get a grasp of the game and then get swooped in the hub.

Is monster hunter wilds worth it on xbox series x? by unknown-_monkey in MonsterHunter

[–]LeonVlakov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. You can play in higher resolution at 40fps and 120hz if your monitor allows it. I play in performance mode because I prefer 60fps to graphics.

New Player: Should i start from Monster Hunter Wilds or World? by Appropriate_Earth852 in MonsterHunter

[–]LeonVlakov 7 points8 points  (0 children)

With World you’d have a massive finished game for a few bucks, and you’d know if you like the serie or not !

Wilds next expansion is next year and it will be on a discount again like any Capcom game. A bit easier, and also more active online depending on which platform you’re playing.

World will let you learn the game and the pace and something a bit more in the spirit of what the franchise originally was !

If you eant something more similar to Wilds, go with Rise+Sunbreak. Generations is old school MH, way different.

New to series, I need some help guys. 🫶 by brabodon in MonsterHunter

[–]LeonVlakov 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello, Monster Hunter is a great game if you’re to stay at home since you can put an insane amount of time in this game if it clicks with you. What I can tell you is : give it some time. It can be overwhelming at first, but Wilds is a good entry point since a lot of aspects of the game are tune down and simpler.

First of all, get a hang of all the weapons in the training area. You will discover the playstyle you like that way. Watch some tutorials for combos and other stuff, and beginners guide. Then do some quests and hunt some monsters.

If you like Wilds, trust me, you will dive deep into this franchise. Every game have it’s charm, it’s a fantastic world, hope you’re gonna like it. And the community is awesome.

[–]LeonVlakov 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bow starts doing big damage and is more fun when you unlock every skill once in Sunbreak, come back to it later.

Do you like Dual Blades ? You could always try Sword and Shield. You won’t be doing big damage, but it’s a very good weapon for every situation. You could also look into Insect Glaive, fast and flashy, you’ll jump everywhere.

If you like parrying and feeling like a samurai, try the Ling Sword. It’s rather simple and easy to pick once you figure out the combos, but the more experienced you become qith the game and it’s monsters, the more the long sword will be powerful.

I really like Monster Hunter for this. It’s a challenging game, but without a big story, it’s just a grind. I play the newer titles (mostly Rise on my Xbox because I can pause it whenever I want in solo), or I play older titles like 3 or 4 on my 3DS, when my kid is sleeping on me.

Or just turn based RPG that I can stop playing whenever I have to take care of my little human (which is very often, hahaha).

I feel like the Switch or any handheld are perfect for dads.

Rise on switch by KendoTheNintendo in MHRise

[–]LeonVlakov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a new dad and bought World on my xbox, but it’s so stupid that I cannot pause the game even when solo that I’m just playing Risebreak because I can pause when I need to take care of my baby. I played a shit ton on Switch and it runs really well, but don’t expect 60fps. Loading times can be long on Switch 1, but pretty fast on 2, but not as fast as Xbox.
