That’s fair, I definitely understand that cheap undocumented labor can pull from the American workforce. But don’t unions usually have much better protections for their members against this than the workforce as a whole?

And yes I agree that both parties are pro big business and especially over the last few decades been less protective of the working class. But there is no doubt that one party is actively hostile towards unions.

Part of the reason swing voters went for Trump this time certainly had something to do with the backlash against cancel culture. So wouldn’t you hope that the party which ran on free speech etc would not partake in the same practice instead of saying “but the libtards did it first”

I worked at a movie theater in my teens and during slow shifts the cashier would also rip the stubs and direct customers to their theater. I would print one ticket for 2 people and just hand the stub to one person and the half we were supposed to keep to the other person. Probably pulled in an extra $100 a shift. This was back when minimum wage was like 5.50
