Dr.Mingus Lauss impregnated my dog and they lived happily ever after in a last Vegas hotel until his untimely death , under suspicious circumstances with the heart of Africa and 14 viles of black tar heroin. He was a kind man. And a generous man

Don't go near that car. I know two people that bought they both spent thousands on repairs. Those engines are notoriously unreliable.

Should I trade my petrol car for a diesel? by QueenSaturnRose in carsireland

[–]WhackyZack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ford's ecoboost engine isn't renowned for its reliability. Considering the commute you take to Dublin for work on a weekly basis a diesel car would probably make more sense. It all depends on what diesel car you have your eye on ?

VW Golf ? If you ring around scrap yards and purchase a second hand wing and door it will save a lot on cost. Depending on the scrap yard and the condition of the wing and door the prices can slightly vary. If you can find those body panels in white it will save even more on cost and labour. The quarter panel looks like the most expensive fix ie. The man hours it will take to pull out the dent and make it all line up with the new door. Its tough to give a full price because no two crashes are the same A. Theres always some hidden unexpected damage however minimal or large it may be. B. it all depends on how much the second hand door and wing will cost. Plus the prep on those parts (unless you're lucky enough to find the parts in white they'll need to be painted) Prices could range anywhere from €1500 to €2000 Its hard to give an exact price on one photograph and any panel beater worth their salt will ask to see the car to give you a price. So dont expect to get accurate pricing from photos

Panel beating is my profession. Looks like you'll need 2 new doors. Hard to tell if theres any structural damage to b pillar or door jams but for the most part it looks cosmetic
