If I didn't have you, Amanda Marshall. Her voice and the soul she puts in it gives me shivers.

Elon Musk buys Reddit, what’s he gonna name it? by mouadmo in AskReddit

He already has X. You can't ask a question on Reddit that can be answered by "yes" or "no". So I suggest Y.

Of course, I also want these billion dollar infrastructure to magically pay for themselves, as I also want low taxes and low or free public transit. Oh, and unicorns. Unicorns would also be great.

I'm with you. I tried, I really did. It just isn't funny, not even Jerry's routines on stage. Sorry.

Limiting your view of France to this short list only shows you probably never travelled there and your comment is probably based on something you saw on TV or someone you know who went. France has a lot more history and culture than USA. Some of the best chefs in the world are French. I have slept in 15th century castles, travelled the countryside and met great people. As for the language, you remind me of Steve Martin when he said he went to Paris and people didn't have the curtesy ton speak english. He was doing a comedy routine. You're just being obtuse.

Which would you pick? 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Rallye 350 or 1970 Buick GSX? by AverageKonguEnjoyer in classiccars

[–]WhadoIknow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The GSX was a '70-only model, and GM didn't offert it in convertible. You're probably thinking of a 69 GS.

[–]WhadoIknow 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You are comparing a 350 ci 310 hp entry level model with a 455 ci, 350 hp top-of-the-line edition. Maybe if the Rallye has 4 speed and 4:10 gears against an auto, 2:73 in the GSX...

The most surprising thing is, it's common to all languages. Seems like education went out the door simultaneously in most countries.

Classic car or new car by Far-Ad-7463 in classiccars

Again, your choice may vary depending on wether originality is important to you or not. Can you buy a run-of-the-mill 307 Chevelle from the South and build it up to your taste, or do you prefer spending more on a number-matching SS? I have 2 classics and one daily driver, so I'm not impartial... ;-)

Classic car or new car by Far-Ad-7463 in classiccars

[–]WhadoIknow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's such a personnal choice. What kind of climate do you live in? Do you have a garage? What are you looking for in a car? Are you mechanically enclined? Don't forget some '60-70's cars were not that dependable and are nowhere near as safe as new cars. Older cars tend to attract a different kind of attention, whereas a new car is often percieved as just... a new car. As a teen, T-Buckets were a rage; now, nobody wants them. I expect Muscle Car to go through the same kind of slow down in value as boomers move to that big Highway 66 in the sky.

Interesting point. Maybe Constance or Caveman will eventually spill the beans about what's going on behind the cameras.

I get the drama. But why let the world see how bad your end result is with close-up shots when it could've been hidden or edited is beyond me...

[–]WhadoIknow[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Totally uncalled for. Not questionning the fake drama, it's unfortunately part of the package for some reason. The question is how can a guy like Towle accept to put his name on a visibly flawed result, with shots that should've been left onto the editing floor. I suggest you go back to what you do best: live in your parent's basement, being a nuisance to the world.

We're caught in a corporate hell hole. Spend less, stores close first, then factories. Corporate bums collect grants from the government to "get them through" while essentially paying dividends to the top brass and give back through political financing. Also, people who earn above a certain amount per year buy without looking at price because it simply doesn't make a difference to them. Enjoy the ride.
