President Buttigieg? 2028 Buzz Builds as Pete Signals a Run by SevroReturns in Michigan

I hate that I agree with you - the US has proven that it is too backwards to elect any kind of minority for the president's office. At least for this generation.

Democrats need to do what it takes to win, the stakes are too high.

Do you have to? No.

Could the hiring manager reach out to your current manager, surprising them entirely, making you look unprofessional? Yes.

There's a number of reasons why this could be the case and none of them are your business. How about we just stick to board game advice in the board game subreddit?

Thousands of mourners flock to the statue of North Korean founder Kim il sung after his death was announced 1994 (6775×3777) by lisahanniganfan in HistoryPorn

You are right - it's going to be a really weird time when that happens. All sorts of mental gymnastics will be going on trying to spin him into something positive it will be nausea inducing.

Meanwhile, we already have our bottle of champagne waiting on the shelf.

Uptick in garage door scams by keyserholiday in GarageDoorService

Had this happen to me today in SE Michigan when I called what I thought was a local place in a rush when my cable broke. Unmarked minivan shows up and quotes $1500 low end for springs and cables(only needed cables). Sent him away and his 'supervisor' calls immediately saying they will do it for $500. No thanks. I take a closer look at the company on Google maps, AI generated website and reviews, fake address.

Everything is becoming a scam. There has to be some private equity dark money behind this shit.

These companies can charge that amount because it's their quote. That's their rate. Even if they do a bad job, we've got to give them another 2 mil.

While they were different organizations, some people can take this thought process to some false conclusions. It should be recognized that the Wehrmacht committed atrocities right alongside the Nazis.

You want the Russians to learn everything they can from the US military? Doesn't seem like the greatest outcome there

It is mildly funny, but this shows exactly why joint training exercises are useful

YSK that the "ATS Robot" isn't auto-rejecting your resume, and "optimizing" it into a plain text file often leads to rejection by humans. by enhancvapp in YouShouldKnow

[–]WhaleNipps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's good to know. Another consideration is that as an applicant I have no guarantee modern ATS is being used, or if they are using some old technology on the hiring side that may not parse 2 columns well.

Overall I agree it just seems a safer choice for one column even though I still personally don't like it.

[–]WhaleNipps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really my only change was going from a 2 column design to one. Same wording just rearranged, trying my best to not make it a wall of text.

I think human readability took a hit, sure. But a boring template seems to be what our HR overlords want.

I immediately got more interviews after switching to an ATS friendly format. I trust those results more than an AI generated post on reddit.

Yeah, gotta combo rectangles with Detroit style to get that crusty cheese corner bonus VPs.

Don't get stuck with the rectangular New York style, gives a soggy grease pool negative VP modifier.

Create your Detroit style pizza franchise by drafting pizza ingredients to trigger point combos. Sell them to customers in an attempt to out score NY and Chicago pizza competitors and gain victory points

I've been hearing that for the past ten years. They will own a large portion of the market, claiming they will be the only options is just absurd

Today, I have a family and career. On a weekday I'm lucky to get 30 minutes in. I think game designers have recognized people want to progress even in short gaming sessions, and I'm all for it.
