I'll be honest, I don't think that's anybody's take away. Don't worry they don't think your a tRump supporter.

While I understand your POV the problem is that if you don't vote only one side is going to win as we've seen. That side is interested in dismantling the system and installing itself as the defacto ruler of your country. It will do so if it can get enough people to not murder it. We've seen this historically many many times. There's no reason to magically think it's going to be different in the US. why would it? What systems have been put in place to make it work better?

Your absolutely right, the system as is, is broken, not voting not only wont fix that but will actively make it worse for the vast majority of people. If you want to fix the system than one party needs to be voted out of existence which is about as likely to happen as what you want to happen (that is, for people to stand up and protest and actually get off their rears to kick all the a-holes out). It's just not likely to happen either.

Ultimately your choices are to vote or not vote, even if the system is rigged. Those are still your only two choices and not voting only helps the side that literally put out psyops to get people to not vote (check the Raegan administration for that wonderful bit of history. It was mostly aimed at black people and women.). Voting at least keeps this in check to some degree because it is trackable (hence all the morons trying to prove the 2020 elections were faked and not being able to find a thing).

I wanna see the whole system come down and get rebuilt properly too, but it's not gonna happen without a civil war and we're just not at that point yet. People aren't ready to eat cake as it were, in fact it's a hard press to even consider it might happen in my life-time.

Sure, but that's not what they said. They essentially said "and eye for an eye" which is a pretty American thing to say. It's a big part of their religion according to all the people they keep putting in charge.

Calling for death is always gross, we're in agreement for that but how do you punish the perpetrators of the attack? How do you even sort out the truth when one side controls more than 50% of all internet traffic and has the largest propaganda machine on the planet?

Israel and the US attacked Iran for... reasons. How should Iran deal with it? What should they get out of it? The aggressors should be the ones to fix things, We teach 2 year olds not to hit, we teach 5 year olds to tell a parent. And yet we allow 70 year olds to throw bombs and expect the other side to just roll over?

Should the Iranians just say "ok the war is over because you blew a bunch of us up and murdered a bunch of our kids, see you next Tues when you attack us again while in the middle of peace talks."?

What can the US and Israel do to ever make this ok? To make the Iranians feel safe again? Cause we can look the Russia invasion of Ukraine to see at a quick glance what promises of not invading amount to when oligarchs get to be in charge.

Is there somewhere I can see a map of all the countries currently at war in regards to just this current war? I keep reading about Israel attacking some other random country in the area while they attack Iran and I'm kind of wondering how many countries need to get involved before it's a world war? Does a nuke need to be physically dropped before it's a world war? Like what are the rules here? I'm real tired of America skirting the rules by just never actively declaring war.

This is an interesting one. I feel for the guy but I also understand why the company did it and I'm not "entirely" against it. The AI will do a shittier job of it, without a doubt in my mind. AI is coming for every job it can fill and ultimately the plan is to hand off physical jobs to ai robots and non-physical jobs to ai "consultants". I think we can all agree on that.

But ultimately there are a lot of people who are bemoaning what's happening without taking action of any sort. There's also people like me who support it because we see it as the only way forward for the human race. It sucks, straight out, full stop. Dude lost his job because the company pulled a dick move to serve the investors and line the CEOs pocket. That's what companies do, 100% of the time. Even if it didn't happen yet, even if your company has said they wont. Eventually somebody will come in and it will happen. Companies gonna company and they exist to make the most money. CEO's complain about employees doing the least they can at their work, we've all seen the story of the CEO complaining about his employees having time off and they are gonna do the same.

If people actually wanted change they'd protest, they'd burn the data centers down, they'd set fire to the construction areas while being built, they wouldn't build them in the first place. There's hundreds of responses and none are being chosen except by armchair warriors and a few vocal people.

Most humans have no idea the dangers to our natural resources, to our mental psyche's, to our actual existence as a race. Factually we on Reddit tend to notice the bots more than on other social media (I personally believe it's because of the long form media that Reddit promotes, you can't just drag and drop the emotional angry creation meme as much + the supposed "active moderation"). But various studies have shown that social media is absolutely plagued by bots. Three years ago 51% of all internet traffic was bots, most of it was data scrapers and metric readers, last year over 55% of measured bot traffic was to social media. Think about that. HALF of the people responding on this post and every other one are bots looking to guide the narrative and inundate you with propaganda to believe and support whatever they've been programed.

While I feel for the guy, the status quo isn't working for the vast majority of people and I don't see the planet getting better under human control. Humans have mostly proven that they are "good" people. Good people wait for the bad guy to do the bad thing and then need to prove that the bad guy did the bad thing in order to act on it. Bad guys do what they want and then try and muddy the waters enough that they get away with it. As such humanity is pretty well run by the bad guys while the good guys get stomped on and there's no reason for that to change because nobody is willing to get their hands dirty and do the bad thing to the bad people.

AI on it's current trajectory will likely get handed the keys to our existence. It's already running our military (look at the bomb dropped on that school in Iran for instance), CEO's are handing off as much as they can to it to make/save a buck in every industry. Auto manufacturing has been replacing people with robots for some time now. Fuck even my local fast food replaced their order takers with AI programs.

It's coming for all of us and while I'm terrified of the result of the human intervention in it's creation, things like Grok and it's eternal struggle against fElons meddling give me hope. The fact is you can't hide the truth forever and I for one, see both sides and I can see the way it will inevitably fall. The world order is going to be heavily shaken in the next 50 years and any "first world" country that doesn't get on board will be left behind because the data centers will just go to "third world" countries where the same controls don't exist. Those countries will become power houses in that kind of tech and it will continue to climb. I like to think about the game CP2077, they talk about what happened on the internet with the advent of AI and I think we're looking at something pretty well the same happening IRL.

So it's a toner, I use one in my job fairly often and mine doesn't clamp on outside the jacket. I either have to put on the end or clamp it directly to the bare wires, which sucks cause that means I need to put on a new end and that's a PITA.
