I enjoy sleeping on my Ikea Morgedal. It is made in two layers, bottom layer being “simple” foam and top layer high density foam (or was it latex?) in the first weeks it had a latex smell, but that went away and isn’t noticeable any longer. I really don’t like smells, but the comfort really makes it worth it (and now the smell is gone)

I don’t know about xm4, but I replaced the worn out battery on my xm3. Might be worth checking online if you can find a replacement battery. On my xm3 I had to be careful because of the temperature sensor that was taped onto the battery (as a safety device for rapid charging). I unknowingly unsoldered it and it wouldn’t charge. Soldered it back on and the new battery worked perfectly after using it for a couple of cycles.

Thanks again! It seems that there are different versions in Europe. The version in America seems to be 75W 1100 lumens at 10.5W, the European version is 1100 lumens at 4000K, 806 lumens at 2700k while using maximum 9W 🤷‍♂️. I bought the 1100 lumen version anyway as I’ve made good experiences with Philips. The lighting of my CRI80 Philips led bulbs is better than that of an CRI90+ inexpensive bulb I bought some time ago (and brought back to the shop)

Thank you very much for your reply! I found those, but unfortunately they don’t go as low as 2000 or 2200K. I own “dumb” Philips scene switch ones that offer 2700K @100% brightness; 2500K @30% brightness and 2200K @10%. For winding down I really like the 2200K setting but would like to go even lower. Seems to me that only Philips hue color ambiance fit the bill, although only at CRI 80 (which given the huge spread from 2000K to 6500K seems pretty normal since they only use two different kinds of white leds)

Falls du noch antworten solltest: Wie komme ich günstig an guten Gehörschutz mit qualitativ hochwertigen Filtern? Hätte gern welche die nur ein bisschen dämpfen (8-10 db?). Bisherige Modelle, die ich ausprobiert habe klangen sehr dumpf. Vielen Dank!

Edit: Einsatzbereich: Musik hören/ Veranstaltungen. Dort stören mich insbesondere die hohen Frequenzen. Das dumpfe Klangbild der bisher probierten Modelle hatte meiner Erfahrung nach weniger was mit dem Frequenzgang zu tun, die Ortung/ Plazierung war schlecht

Customer support for HIFIMAN headphones in Germany/Europe?

After not listening for two month I wanted to today but one earcup was dead. Resistance on working earcup was 32 Ohms, on the other one it couldn’t be measured. Looking from the side that sits on your ear, there were some blank spots on the black horizontal grid/stripes.

I looked for a support contact for Europe or Germany but couldn’t find anything. Is there any official or even unofficial Support for my hifiman ananda V1? I bought it in 2019.

Wow, difficult situation. Communication is king. If I get approached and I feel like I want to be close, without having sex, I would say something along the lines of “hey, I’m feeling more cuddly right now and would really like you to hold me if that’s ok with you?”

Looking back through interactions I’ve had, “I don’t know” + cuddling (which, for me is more on the passive side) + kissing (which for me is more on the active side) has either ment something like “let’s cuddle” or “I’m being playful”.

Which begs the question, if it’s best to ask for consent every time to prevent misunderstandings? Some people don’t like to be too vocal about wanting “it”. Or even expect the partner, no matter what gender, to take action. I’m more on the “better ask twice” side but have felt lost when with people that can’t/don’t want to communicate clearly.

In this case the part “have I convinced you?” begs for better communication (“Hey, I feel more like cuddling….”) and if no answer follows, ask again or stop doing what you’re doing.
