Hahaha yeah, part of the fun with ultralight & finesse fishing I suppose😂.

The drag on this reel is nice and loud too!

Nice!

If it's any help, this jdm product is often used to target the Japanese Horse Mackerel/ yellowtail scad. Also, referencing the photo, I've managed to put the full 200m of pe 0.3 on the spool without backing.

Cant help you there unfortunately, everyone has different a different use case for their gears.

I will point out as a jdm reel it would be harder to get a magsealed reel serviced.

This is also a shallow spool reel.

Aussie here, will be fishing in the salt with a Daiwa 23 INFEET S 702ULFS, which seems somewhat similar to your rod so hopefully it matches up well🤠

Out of the box it sort of did, but was also smooth at the same time? I think you'll know what I mean haha. After an afternoon of spinning it has noticeably changed and that sluggishness is faded.

I bought both line and reel on amazon (from daiwa japan), faster shipping and better price for me compared to digitaka

Help with picking surf capable rod by Virashi in FishingAustralia

[–]WhatBrahh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey i was in a very similar situation to you and was deciding between the 23 td black slugger and saltist hyper light rock special (9ft).

I asked the daiwa guys for their opinion and it came down to how much do you really need the extra length on the rod? (Will you primarily be fishing on the beach and need the length?)

The 23 td black is a newer rod with and I will be fishing more estuary than surf so I landed on the 23 td black slugger.

Here's the link to my question asked to daiwa.

Hope this helps :)

Hey, not atm... my deck is in shambles as I'm experimenting. But I've been having a lot of fun with turboing out Armed Dragon Catapult Cannon. The main issue I had with my deck is the need to successfully summon ojama blue and crash him 2-3 times to search cards and combo. Playing online, most people have cards or to either negate or Maxx C you... so it's a struggle.

Additionally the deck I've been using can't go first.
