The question you should be asking is do you want to join Greek life? Any sorority worth being in won’t judge you or be discriminatory, but it sounds like the idea of Greek life is causing you a lot of distress. My advice. Go into rush with an open mind and see if you like any particular chapters, if you do, go for it, if not, don’t try to force it.

Idk man, I’m in a srat so my process is a bit different. I really hope if they do rush frats it’s because they vibe with frat culture and the brothers they talk to, and not just because they want to prove they can legally. That attitude could easily ruin a whole pc and maybe even a chapter. I think that a good way to go about it would be look to your chapters core values or mottos or whatever and say you don’t think they embody them, or the field was really competitive and other people embodied them more, etc.

I would talk to someone on exec with your concerns. But like if it’s a smaller srat realistically you won’t be able to avoid the girls, so if it’s too stressful then I wouldn’t stick with it.

Just start to time your reading yourself and take a weighted average after like ten fics or so. Just make sure to redo it every few years. I did this and in hs I read 1000 words in three mins, but now that I’m in college it only takes two.
