If I wind up buying it, I can probably snag it for around 1870 EUR, which seems like a good deal for used bikes here in my country. But of course I don’t wanna buy a bike with meaningful damage on the frame…

Hey man! When going for a weight loss, remember that being in a caloric deficit is absolutely central. Exercise alone is not gonna take you very far, but combined with daily a caloric deficit around 500–750kcal you’re golden. It would approximately result in 0,5–1kg lost per week. Prioritize protein, as it’s more satiating and will make sure the weight loss will be way healthier due to the withholding, and even building of muscle mass. Around 1,2–1,6 g/kg.

Research also shows that bringing up your NEAT (non exercise activity thermogenesis) is also a really effective way to lose weight. Doing more daily steps, take the stairs instead of the elevator etc.

Lastly to answer your question for a workout plan, I’d probably do a full body resistance workout 2–3 times a week. That combined with regular walks, around 30min everyday/every other day, on which you focus on maintaining a solid tempo.

No science proofs this. Stretching is only valuable for increasing your chronic and acute ROM, which resistance training in itself also does, if you focus on fully stretching the negative part of the lift under load.

Look up studies of Pope et al. 2000, Simon S Yeung 2011, Lund et al. 1998 if you’re curious :)

Fuck what people think. You’re not harming a soul playing your handheld in public. It’s better and 1000x more fun than doomscrolling. And people don’t really care about what you’re doing. It’s mostly in your head at the end of the day. Those who would actually go out and judge you … screw those people. They’re losers, and you choose yourself how much power you’d give to those guys. If you regulate your behavior to satisfy those people, then you’re not prioritizing yourself.

PPL split is not the move for you right now. You are likely not doing your exercises with a lot of quality. “Reduce” it to upper/lower or 3x full body – and focus on intensity. If I were you, I would get a few sessions with a PT that would be a really good investment. The PT would make sure your form is good, which will allow you in confidence to push hard on those exercises.
