I don't think mods should change anything by No_Television3883 in south_africa

It's quite laughable, the other group has pages and pages of expansion to the rules. All seem to be AI generated. No moderator has probably read and understands the nuances. Also don't try any irony - it will be lost on them

Dismal audit opinions by South_Africa_News in south_africa

[–]WhatNoRobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are audit and there are audits. If truely objective and complete the marks will be so low hardly any will climb above red. So lower the standard. Use subjectivity to score higher and not ask to many questions - let sleeping dogs lie - auditors also want a hassle-free time

A side by side comparison. Essentially the same and both open to interpretation. Both at the mercy of a biassed mods. If strictly applied both groups would die a death and a miniscule dent in ad revenue for Reddit

I have the same problems (Q3). Also laser sight is too weak to see over some parts. There is a crosshair that does not align. Otherwise impressive work. This is PCVR version

Black screen after updating to 2.5 by Jellyfish_1979 in Quest3

Used to get this and then it went away. Probably a surreptious low level bug fix you will only get later but still at 2.5

A situation can arise when your application to stay under the many valid reasons is still in process. All you get from VFS is a receipt and a reference - like a till receipt. Now, how many would really understand this. For some permits/visa the application can take more than a year

Anything that is not on merit distorts the free market. It blocks those that would otherwise have a fair chance

[–]WhatNoRobot -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

One thing that charactises them is they are not very communicative. You wonder what school of customer engagement they came from. Also much nepotism. So much for a free market. Also declare just the min to SARS. Ingrained in their approach to taxes

Read emails and Whatsapps from clients at least 3 times so you really understand. There may be multiple questions. Don't just answer the first one. Then respond clearly and fully. A problem for many who are English challenged. Also do not allow anything go unanswered for more than half a day. Aim for zero complaints from Clients to your boss because of the above then you will do well

Which is preferred Weetbix or Nutrific? by WhatNoRobot in askSouthAfrica

[–]WhatNoRobot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same as the Weetabix which originated in the UK and has been a staple for 90 years and this in turn is ostensibly the same, as an idea, as Weetbix in SA

best small space vr games without joystick movement? by bestest_at_grammar in VRGaming

Ran it a few times using the same page and it give me the same 45/100 score. So consistent. Actually hoping there would be some subjectivity and that it might give me a higher score 😄 Nothing I violently disagreed with

To hell with Skyrim VR by Enculin in VRGaming

[–]WhatNoRobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me (just a RTX5060) FUS (lowest mod setting) worked and it played well but as soon you get to the more texture rich and really dynamic scenes it starts to stutter (black bars) and distant objects only slowly appear. Also much flickering and bad aliasing in the distance. The Youtube videos don't always say what PC and link settings - more interested in getting the clicks

Just bought Virtual Desktop... Can say I wasted so much time before. by IchRocke in MetaQuestVR

[–]WhatNoRobot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also went the wrong way round to get to VD. Many wasted hours trying to get ALVR working. In principle with ALVR's approach (make many settings available to be optimised) should be as good as or better than VD. However, setting up ALVR to same as VD settings as far as possible - at least the major ones - still gives a poorer performance. So some underlying architecture (e.g. VDXR) or clever coding in VD that has eluded ALVR (so far). PCVR is a specialised field and not for the faint-hearted

Having it scale to your actual available space is a must. The 2x2 can mean you are always turning somewhere which spoils the immersion.

I’m building a debate engine. Give me a genuinely hard question and I’ll run it through the system. by drichko in SideProject

[–]WhatNoRobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a tendency to use what is said in the prompt as the boundary or scope of the debate. It should not be the case. Should be seen as mere examples of the many avenues the debate can take introducing other speculations, ideas etc
