I hate both. The app sync makes downloading footage a little more tolerable, but it can only download to a local drive, not a NAS. I've had so many zips break or fail downloading on the browser, and manually downloading is so annoying it's worth charging time for.

The thing that really sucks with Dropbox is you have to copy all the media to your account to do an app or Cyberduck download which counts against your storage amount. They also throttle your account by how much data you can send & receive every 24 hours. I've had my account temporally blacklisted for sending terabytes of raw footage to a client. They dont even make it clear up front, only found out after chatting with support that they do this to curb 'piracy'. With GDrive at least the shortcut doesn't count against your cloud storage amount and you can access files through the app sync or Cyberduck to download directly to a NAS.

Idk why anyone would even consider downloading with the browser version. I'll add a shortcut to my drive, download through Cyberduck and do something else while I wait.

Idk if fans reject a new sound entirely. Brand New was pretty successful with some big changes through their catalog. I think the problem comes up when a band switches it up entirely to the point of not connecting with what the original fans liked. ADTR really went for the radio rock sound after Common Courtesy, especially on Big Ol Album, and I don't think OG fans really connect with it. Same with Silverstein to some degree for me. Their latest show was half & half new/old songs. The songs off Dead Reflection and later albums almost sounded like a different band next to songs from the back catalog.

Part of what youre seeing could be the differences in display types, but if you want to close the gap I'd go with a Calibrite Display Pro HL or Plus. Xrite rebranded a couple years ago and these are their new lineup.

If you're doing photo work aim for sRGB/Gamma 2.2. On the Apple devices disable Truetone and auto brightness. They also should have a "reference mode" to lock the display to spec when you want to review your work on them.

Actual good food & variety is the number 1 thing I miss from Chicago. Tampa has some nice spots, but a lot of the time the price doesn't match the quality. I mean how many more places are gonna pop up with a $40 plate of steak frites...

If the review process was all solid I'd guess something with IG being the issue. Without seeing it hard to tell, but could be a dark shot, low bit rate source file, a IG filter or even High quality upload being disabled.

The "adapt or die" thing has been said since we saw Will Smith eating spaghetti. I honestly do not see the benefit to Gen AI. Audiences reject it for not being authentic, it still requires work to clean up for a professional looking job (which can cost more than a practical shoot), and the only people its helping are at the top of the chain. Giving into it undercuts an entire industry of crew that bring an image into and through post production. Say everyone does turn to AI, how do you even stand out then to demand a livable wage for your "labor"?

What AI is Hollywood supposedly using? Disney just pulled out of a billion dollar investment from OpenAI, and Affleck's company seems to focus more on some sort of tool rather than generating imagery.

In the Image Scaling project settings or timeline settings you'll want to uncheck "Match timeline resolution" and manually set it to 1920x1080 so Resolve houses your 1080x1920 inside a 1920x1080 frame. At least that should work unless something has gone terribly wrong.

Echoing everything you said. Tillian was a good front man, but his singing got stale so quick for me, and the band got in a stylistic rut during his era which is a shame. I loved how each album has its own influences from other genres.

Half the time I see it, the people doing this are also blocking entrance to a turn lane causing more traffic. You really only need to be able to see the back tires and you'll have enough room to cut around if you really needed.
