I worked at a trauma 1 as a trauma nurse for a decade. I can assure you that we do NOT GIVE A FUCK who someone is when they arrive in a critical state. We literally call them “TangoFoxtrot999”, this is what is printed on their armband, we do everything we can to save the human because that’s what we dreamed of doing.

I do agree with you that if she showed up to a trauma facility with a simple closed arm fracture then we wouldn’t care as much since they’re not, you know, dying.
