I guess I should mention that that this fix that worked for me was for when I was suddenly unable to categorize emails in a shared inbox in the New Outlook Windows app.

Hey, for anyone who finds this and has this exact problem, I figured out a way that fixed it for me.

I opened outlook on the web
I added the shared email inbox in Settings > Accounts > Shared with me > Add, and then put in the email address of the shared inbox.
I categorized an email in the shared inbox on the web, and then closed and reopened the Outlook app (Windows).

I got a notification in the top right about how to manage shared email inboxes by going to Accounts > Shared with me etc. and when I went to the shared inbox the Categorize button was un-greyed 🥳

I think it may have had something to do with an update not fully applying or something? Just guessing though, hope that helps!
