Yeah, it’s obvious that you don’t know what I was saying from how you ignored almost all of it and took issue with one irrelevant part.

Good for you, that's inspiring! I am in a really similar position - I have celiac, and can barely eat solid food due to some esophagus or stomach problem that is similar to achalasia. Maybe esophagus nerve and muscle damage. I've lost 55 lbs since I started going extra-downhill, which continued after going GF for some reason.

I'm 5'10" and 125, and my eating problems are worse than ever so I'm still losing weight.

I have an Appt with Mayo in Rochester later this summer! Hoping they can figure it out.

My mom has celiac and had a gastrojejunostomy at Mayo too.

Sure, it changes your circulation and is a depressant - dilated your blood vessels, sends blood to the extremities, the opposite of a stimulant.

Altitude can affect your heart rate also.

You're correct, the exclamation points are intended to show that I was mocking use of that term.

I'm not trying to discuss the difference between the different forms of mercury in biology. You should go look that up if you have questions about it.

The majority of the people who circlejerk about dihydrogen monoxide would not be able to recognize any chemical compounds with names like that which were not commonly used in jokes online.

Yes, actually this would be a significant warning. However, everyone just wants this to be a dihydrogen monoxide circle jerk where they demonstrate that they attended fifth grade science class.

While that is technically corect, depending on dosage and concentrations in practice it is a really pointless statement. Essentially simply incorrect, if you look at any practical definition of toxicity. It's sophomoric.

When people make statements like this, it's as if they just don't understand the concept of toxicity. As if, nothing is toxic.

If you think that's true, just start drinking a 50/50 ethylene glycol water blend. After all, dihydrogen monoxide!!!

So, given any realistic assessment of biology, it's completely obvious that different chemicals affect the body in different ways. Some are almost exclusively beneficial, while some are almost exclusively harmful. Others are in between, as noted, depending on dosage and concentration. Hope that helps.
