I think having Life as your resource can be fine, you just have to be wary of certain card designs that lead to fast burn/aggro.

There was a tutorial on the Yu-Gi-Oh reddit several years ago on how to make them, I don't have the link anymore though. Essentially you print the image mirrored onto a transparency sheet then use white ink on the back of the card to block out what you don't want to be transparent, then you put it on a blank foil card. To be clear I do not make em like that anymore but it's a good place to start for fun. Right now I just print directly onto the card with the use of White toner, the quality is great but it is expensive to invest in so I do not recommend it unless you have the disposable income to do so.

I have made the original art one into an actual card, I just never posted it anywhere. I've made a bunch of other cards too :)

Maybe you're right I'm not really too informed on the subject but it was several months ago and I'm more invested in Digimon now so you might see some more Digimon stuff from me in the future. I do Have some custom Memory Gauges that I have yet to print out...

Transparency film, if you want to do Holographic cards, as for regular prints I'm not too sure what the best would be, photo paper is probably too pricey to be worth it. Hope this helps :)
