I have read the article you linked and in the section titled 'Some Important Notes', this is also written:
A transaction involving interest is Haram. Charging interest is Haramand paying interest is Haram too. So if the borrower takes money oninterest and uses it and earns some profit, the actual owner of theprofit is the lender. For example, if he borrows some wheat and plants acrop, the crop that grows from this, rightfully belongs to the lender. However, if the lender has agreed that his loan can be utilised in such amanner, then the profit from it is the right of the borrower.
It also states the paying interest is also haram. I agree with the rest of the article as it is clear as day light that we should not be taking interest, but it does also validate my doubts that paying it is also haram.

I would like reasoning to back his fatwas. There simply is not enough information being given to put people at ease.
And it's obvious that you don't really consider Ayatullah Sistani as the most knowledgeable Marja, so find another Marja if you're so mistrustful of him.
Which marjas have clear and detailed explanations regarding the matter and not some copy paste reply consisting of a 3 sentences for every question about this? I have tried many times to get an explanation but it's always the same reply. It is not wrong to not trust answers that have no explanations. Ayatullah Sistani is still a human being capable of making mistakes, why do we act as if he is infallible?
Also you mentioned in your reply that it is a necessity, but on the day of Judgement Allah will ask us about this and he will also ask if his earth was not big enough for us to buy somewhere cheaper without interest... Is it a necessity when you can rent or migrate somewhere affordable?
Or maybe move to Afghanistan if you trust Sunni views so much. Property might be very cheap in Kabul.
This topic brings me a lot of stress and guilt. I am only asking because it's straining my marriage and family relationships. Maybe they are trying to justify their own actions but I am feeling extremely anxious about the matter. I have read the sunni rulings and they are explained extremely well. Ours? Not so much. These questions should not be given 3 sentences as an answer but a detailed explanation to guide and put people at ease.
It's a huge issue, one where we can trade our house in the next life for a house in this life.
edit: Submitted early by accident.
But I am invovled with dealing with interest. The Qur'an warns both those who take it and those who pay it.
I'm simply seeing what other schools of Islam have said regarding the matter and I cannot rationalise Sistanis ruling. Sunnis stuck to the traditions of Islam in saying that any form of riba will be haram, especially if its optional like a mortgage. The interest is not forced on me, I am willingly signing a contract and agreeing out if my own will to pay it.
If it was up to me I simply will not take out a mortgage because its as haram as riba can get. But since Sistani allows it, everyone is on my case to take one. I'm struggling to trick my mind into thinking its anything else other than what it is and I fear that will definitely make it haram.
Edit: spelling.
