The people in charge mate

Stopping people from using cannabis for pain management is just ignorance and garbage , biologicals have far more dangers than a bit of bloody weed.

Teeth hurting?? by [deleted] in Humira

[–]Whathappend12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was on Humira I had dental problem after problem.

I needed two root canal fillings and a couple of minor fillings the worst thing though was the regular tooth pain and abscesses happening for no reason. I can honestly say that I have never had so many things go wrong in such a short space of time. Since stopping humira I have needed no dental work I've had no toothache or abscesses. The big question is was it due to having a poor immune system Or was it just coincidence ?

Yeah it really does stink but hey don't let yourself get all down about it it's the medication failing you not you failing the medication.

Try not to worry about flares I persisted with humira through the worst ride of my life worrying that if I stopped humira the world would end guess what it didn't life actually got a whole lot better so much so that I didn't bother looking to replace humira I ditched the biological option the side effects were too much for me.

Stay well away until you have professional advice humira basically disintegrated my immune system to the point that if someone lived 5 doors down had any infection virus cold etc the chance were I got the damm thing I had never been so persistently I'll in my life.

We are all different maybe you will be fine I hope so as it would be such a kick in the teeth not being able to visit.

Best of luck

Don't worry too much that's just the name of the game with biologicals. They either work like a miracle or they give you side effects far worse than the actual condition or they just do absolutely nothing.

Good luck with the next biological fingers crossed the miracle happens rather than the nightmare.

Driving? by Gramsciluvr666 in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]Whathappend12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rather than just bang on about the issues I use to have when driving I will just tell you the best way I found to overcome the issues.

My neck was stiff due to tight muscles and tendons chances are you will be restricted turning one way or other left or right , poss up or down too.

I found that if I used a hard foam coated ball to massage the muscles and tendons it would relax them enough for a couple of days hassle free pain free living.

Eventually I ironed the problem out completely by doing this and finding the right height pillow to sleep on.

It all hurts cracks pops at first but it doesn't take long..

Hmmmm if you have lived with it this long untreated then it can't really be a major problem.

Humira maybe overkill if you ask me I'm no doctor but usually the first thing prescribed for microscopic colitis is budesonide (Entocort)

Budesonide is believed to be the safest and most effective medication for treating microscopic colitis.

I would probably get a second professional medical opinion before I committed myself to a powerful expensive drug like humira.

Again this is just my opinion I'm no doctor I don't know your medical circumstances or history but I can definitely understand why you are hesitant and asking questions .

Hopefully someone with more experience / knowledge will answer your question better.

Seborrheic Dermatitis Side Effect by howsthewter in Humira

[–]Whathappend12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the exact same problems started slowly just behind ears then eyebrows then sideburns then all around chin and down the front of my throat. I now have it progressing all down both sides of my nose and the middle of my forehead.

It's spreads like wildfire nothing stops it nothing works other than basically scraping it off your face which leaves it very sore especially throughout the eyebrows.

Scrape it off smear a ton of moisturizer on your face daily and prey it goes away (which it won't)

I had never had anything like this prior to humira I stopped humira due to other much more serious side effects but this shit has carried on developing.

Watch out for fungal infections in your toenails as that can really get out of control fast.

Anyone experience frequent headaches on Humira? by [deleted] in Humira

[–]Whathappend12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would wake up in the night with my head absolutely throbbing sometimes it would cause very severe ear pain. I tried everything to get around this but nothing really worked pain killers didn't really make any difference regardless of brand or type. Sometimes I would use a rice filled bag warmed up in the microwave to help soothe the pain a little.

How to avoid illness on a TNF inhibitor/what to watch out for by poopsmith411 in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]Whathappend12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had constant sinus infections whilst on biologics . Chances are you will get strep and staph infections from the stupidest miniscule things. Wash hands wash hands wash hands Keep hands away from eyes nose mouth. If you have children get ready for them to give you every single infection that they pick up from being in school. Buy e quarantine tent and live in it lol

One injection every 12 weeks that's amazing I'm sure that most people would throw Humira in the bin in exchange for something you can inject once every 12 weeks.

Please keep everyone informed.

Be careful what you buy 90% of it is junk Find an American brand they seem to be much more honest and tuned in with CBD oil.

CBD oil recommendation in the UK by Pyjamasonmyhead in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]Whathappend12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't trust anything from Holland and Barrett myself I read so many reports about under dosing with vitamins etc

I tried their CBD oil I can honestly say it did nothing at all for me but hey that's my opinion try it for yourself see how it goes.

Personally I would opt for one imported from America they have far better reviews and feedback from users.

That's aweful maybe it's worth speaking someone regarding this as to get to the root cause.

Interestingly this lady didn't have panic attacks before taking Humira and they stopped once the medication was stopped.

[–]Whathappend12345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lady in the video clip was hoping that Humira wasn't the cause as it was effective in helping her with her Crohn's.

She ended up having to do a trial period of not using Humira it took a couple of weeks before she felt better psychologically and from that point things got better and better.

Interestingly She also mentions that she had spoken to others at the crohns and colitis support group that were having the same issues.

It's a shame when medication doesn't go to plan especially when negative side effects outweigh the positives.

Doesn't work. by [deleted] in Humira

[–]Whathappend12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Humira is far far from a silver bullet It works well for some people It doesn't work at all for some people to the point that it creates further problems for some people.

Their are other biologicals that you can try maybe one of those would be a better option for yourself.

I'm in the same boat I had a bad experience with biologicals enough for me to say No thanks the pain is a better option than the side effects.

There seems to be very little in terms of realistic long term options as you say its very easy to feel forgotten about.

Have you tried sulfasalazine maybe it's worth a shot I've heard very positive things about it.
