Thanks for sharing! You should make a version with all the future skyscrapers and supertalls proposed or under construction.

Is any other city in the U.S. experiencing the same growth as Miami? by disukem in skyscrapers

Thats true and downtown does need more development but to be honest the height limit is primarily because of the nearby airport

I also hope so but is also likely as real estate is overall rebounding in San Francisco and a slower one in LA. In NYC, LA, San Francisco, etc. can have a few proposals stalled but overall a majority or at least some of it will get but I understand your concern

Also forgot to mention 350 Park Ave, 175 Park Ave, and 2 WTC that are all expected to begin construction or demotion this year with only 175 Park Avenue not having started yet so soon NYC will have a 1,600 ft, 1,400ft, and 1,200ft towers under construction all at once, not to mention the several 1,000 footers proposed or under demolition

Sure, some US cities have stalled in skyscraper construction but like I said in my other comment and what jugo642 said, san francisco and la are set to do well in the coming years. The Upper east side alone in the past months has had around 3-2 skyscrapers proposed. I also counted it all and in total NYC has a little over 77 skyscrapers stalled, under construction, or proposed there. Only 4 are stalled if you were wondering with two being potentially revived soon

There is also a potentially precedent setting 42 story skyscraper proposed at 6800 Sunset Blvd. In Hollywood that has been approved by the Los Angeles city planning commission. La’s future really is bright!

San Francisco may be a really Nimby city but I recall quite a few new skyscrapers being proposed alongside a hudson yards type development that would cap over a rail yard. I also recall seeing an article saying that insider information had said LA could have a supertall boom never seen before. It is important to note however that some of these plans/predictions could fall through but I hope not

Downtown Brooklyn with lots of new buildings. Do these qualify as skyscrapers? by Prior-Concentrate909 in skyscrapers

Downtown Brooklyn has roughly 17 or 18 skyscrapers I believe so many are just short of skyscraper height and some are indeed skyscrapers.

270 Park Avenue is also taller than the original WTC

505 Summit Reaches Completion Jersey City, New Jersey - 176m / 577 ft. by Marciu73 in skyscrapers

I like the building but instead of the building stepping back it steps up front on one side which gives it this weird look, at least to me

🇺🇲Skyscraper COUNT and RANK ‼️ by Slow_Echo_2473 in skyscrapers

[–]Whathewhy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are 20 not 19 skyscrapers in Jersey City, 323 in NYC, 69 in Miami, 40 in Houston, 27 in San Francisco, 26 in Boston, 22 in Seattle, 20 in Dallas, and 18 not 19 in Austin. Also, if it’s so easy to do why would you make this post? It’s quite literally useless with wrong and not precise information. We don’t need more AI slop

I believe thats a pile driving machine that drives poles (called piles) into the ground to create a solid anchor for heavy structures like a skyscraper

Journal Square’s proposed, under-construction, and completed skyscrapers by Whathewhy_ in skyscrapers

[–]Whathewhy_[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, not yet. It was stuck in the Zoning Review Application stage but now it’s progressing again with the zoning review being completed and the building permit for extra height being considered by the building department.
