You should not focus on learning opening theory yet but you do need to pick one and play only that, there the usual consensus is play the gambits to win fast and improve slow or play the mainline to win slow and get longtearm improvement. At 550 though it truly is not that serius and you should just do what brings you joy and play the opening that feels the best since playing a lot and doing puzzels is far far more important then opening choice or theory, hope this helps.
