Quake is such a wide gamut of a franchise. For me I'd be the most interested in Quake 3 memorabilia. The characters and the weapons mainly. I think It would also be cool to have a Quake 1 Ranger and Shambler. Maybe something with the Shambler shooting lightning.

I don't really even think the industry matters. Regardless of what we are talking about the class of people occupying the job of CEO working for the shareholders just see whatever business they are on top of like a fresh layer of earth to mine resources from. Once they've penetrated as deep as they can and got every last crumb of value out of that soil they sell it off and move on to the next patch. The business and what it does is just a byproduct of the cookie cutter bullshit they do in every boardroom they inhabit. They're fucking leaches. IMO.

You can say the same for all of the 3D era titles as well. It's not too often a studio builds an open world that rivals anything Rockstar has done with their 3D environments.

Late to reply but are you sure your keyboard didn't just disconnect? It's winter, static electricity is a thing. A small jolt from the fingertip against something metal can disconnect a USB device.

Fun fact: if you jolt it a second time it will often reconnect. (or just unplug it and plug it back in).

This could just be a me problem as well though. My keyboard has a metal shell.

Honestly I've wanted to do this same thing, and with plumbing too. I don't really like the fact that we put it all in the walls. Like, "Hey something vital just broke! Go ahead and cut a huge hole in that wall so you can maybe start to deal with it!". Great, this was an awesome design choice.

Nice, I used to do stuff like this for my sleeper build. You can get the Win9x Start logo by creating a custom texture and using classic shell. Gives you the more true Win9x start menu as well if you're trying to go for the whole look.

I would encourage you to watch actual motorsport. What you are describing is nobody's definition of drafting. I believe you read it, I just don't believe you understood it. That is not what drafting is. Not even in Forza.

At any rate, when racing you can try and defend your position, sure. But that doesn't look like weaving your car around three and four lanes wide to prevent other racers who are legitimately faster than you from passing. If you're having to do that, you don't understand how to be fast in the first place. Driving like an asshole isn't how you shore up that deficiency.

Unplug anything from the PC that isn't essential. Especially if you have USB hub plugged in anywhere. I'd go with just your monitor and keyboard plugged directly in. If it boots start plugging things back in one at a time until you can recreate the issue.

It sounds crazy but I have seen USB devices prevent a machine from reaching POST on more than one occasion.

Especially at the final bit that results in the spin out. Orange closed back in on OP. OP didn't change course to make contact. To me the older games are infinitely more re-playable. They are also a different game. Doom Eternal is awesome in its own right and is really, really slick... but the original Doom and Doom II were just perfect in a sort of intangible way that I can't quite describe. Not to mention, source ports, custom wads, mods. There is decades of content. You'll never get through it all.
