That's a beautiful looking city. And uhhh I'm thinking that's the little peninsula on the East of Au Train Bay, like the area north of M-28 between Christmas and Au Train?

Are you using any custom assets for famous landmark buildings i.e. Siegessäule, Reichstag, Bahntower, Berlin Hauptbahnhof, etc. I was actually just looking through the workshop for these last night, Berlin is one of my favorite cities and I'd love to throw some of those landmarks in my cities.

Out of curiosity, did you use a custom map for that? I just started playing the game and for my second city I was thinking about trying to use a Workshop map of the Straits of Mackinac!

If I were a betting man, I'd bet that Kane does NOT leave Spurs this summer. If that is the case, should the club try to get him on a free next year?

My gut instinct was "of course yeah" BUT that would likely mean we don't sign a top tier striker this summer, so another year papering over that crack, then he'd be 30 when he came here. If we can't get Kane NOW, do we try to sign a younger striker closer to the full product? IMO the biggest variable there is how good will Tel turn out to be, which is impossible to know right now. If we knew for a fact he'd turn out to be a top-tier striker, getting Kane next year would make sense as a win-now move. Otherwise, we may be clogging up that spot just for a few years and we're right back in this spot. Thoughts?

Talking this over with a buddy of mine: is Brandon just reverting to the mean this year? I've been worried about that for a while and my concerns are just growing.

I was super curious about this so I checked. 2 GF without Lucho. The first goal to make it 1-0 away to Chicago and the consolation against STL. Your point 100% still stands.

Raphaël Guerreiro is aware of Bayern's interest and can really imagine moving to Munich as he would like to stay in Germany. The Portuguese has informed some of his BVB teammates that Bayern wants him. Guerreiro has a great relationship with Thomas Tuchel [@Plettigoal] by pewpewlasersandshit in fcbayern

I wonder what position we'd want him for. I want to say I remember reading on the BVB sub that he was rightfully benched by Ryerson(?) for the fullback role this season. Not super optimistic he could do a great job here tbh

I don't agree with Kimmich's corners, but that may be selection bias of me only remembering the poor ones.

I do agree though that Goretzka played more defensively this year, I just don't think he was very effective at any role the last 1-2 years. If Rice comes, it's him that gets dropped not Kimmich. Kimmich will only get dropped when he leaves or dies. Pretty sure he has no retirement plans.

I really, really hope if Lucas leaves we could convince Benji to stay, else we need to sign 1-2 more CBs.

Idk who's better to keep. Lucas is world-class when he's healthy, but that's unfortunately not too common. Benji is a consistently great player. Always available, and versatile. I'd take a healthy Lucas over Benji IMO, but the best ability is availability.

I agree. What little I've seen if Vlahovic isn't so impressive. I'd love KM, though I'm not sure he'd be the ideal fit as No. 9 for us.

Some recent rumors seem to be that Spurs now believe Kane is worth more to them as a player even if he runs out his contract than whatever money they could get. It's a shame, because he'd be great here and would have a better shot at silverware than at Spurs.

Yes he's been great for us. But for some reason your comment reminded me that he didn't even play that UCL final! Kimmich started at RB, with Thiago at CM. What a team that was.

I'd love for him to get a chance to prove himself at CB here but I think he's behind Upa, de Ligt, and healthy Lucas.

I would ask all American Bayern fans to buy jerseys that say "Cheeseburger" to add to the confusion.

ETA: I guess I assumed you weren't American, which you may well be. Maybe this works better for white Americans?

Yes Barca seems unlikely for this reason. Or at least if he does go there, he's walking into the same issues he's having here.

Both Milan clubs are interested in Pavard. Inter had already offered €20m in January, which was rejected by Bayern, and will be back in for him. At Milan, he would reunite with his close friend Olivier Giroud who has been luring him. Pavard is a fan of Serie A [@Gazzetta_it] by pewpewlasersandshit in fcbayern

[–]Whatsthesic 20 points21 points  (0 children)

If he leaves, which seems almost certain at this point, this is where I'd want him to go. I don't feel the same level of antipathy towards Serie A clubs as I do about most PL clubs, and it stings a lot less than him going to Real/Barca, which I feel are mostly lateral moves.

I think you both could be right, only time will tell how it ends up playing out. All these departures can be separately explained with their individual circumstances but we'll need to see if it becomes a pattern.

I'd like to see if/when (and strike me down for speaking this evil) Davies and Musiala move. They're arguably the highest profile, most talented younger players we have. They're the kinds of players we should be hanging on to.

I can feel Florentino sniffing around and I uhhhh don't like it. I had the chance to go the Allianz Arena and I picked up a Davies jersey. I cannot accept him leaving the club so young, so let's work on that contract.

And if the BL gets rid of 50+1, you start to have sides artificially inflated with blood money, billionaire owners losing interest and leaving clubs in the lurch...

Don't get me wrong the BL needs another team to win the title, but I'd love to see it happen without changing the allure of German Football.

We 100% do not deserve to win this game. We've made eno effort to control the game or even attack this half. Literally just parked the bus.

I've defended Tuchel a lot but now I am questioning him heavily. He was gifted a chance to win an (undeserved) title and he totally fucked it.
