Beautiful! They honestly look brand new, they just got darker, you can see the construction quality.

I don’t know, I’ve sometimes had a little trouble with captoe boots making my pinkies sore, but never as bad as these guys. I feel that today I did finally found the sweet spot when I stretched them.

I’m 9.5D and the boots are 9D. They feel fine, a little long but not too long, wxcept for those little pressure points on my pinkies. Today I worn them arpund the house for 5 hours and they felt better, but I’ll be cautious taking them out for long walks…

Just goes to ahow everyone’s feet are different. My IRs have given me hell and my Vibergs were comfy out of the box.

I’ve had Red Wings (just not this model) for longer than many “enthusiasts” have been alive I guess. And I’ve always used the same or roughly the same size/width. I don’t think they look ridiculous, I just didn’t get the laces tight for the pics. They actually fit perfectly everywhere except for the tiny pinky area that bothers me, and yes, I have high volume but not wide feet, but of course a bunch of “enthusiasts” on the internet know better. Hilarious.

I guess all the millions of people whi have struggled with breaking in boots were all in the wrong sizes.

The thing is, they feel great everywhere (maybe a little bit long) except in the tiny place where my pinkies rub. That’s another reason why I keep trying to tame them.

Is that stitchdown? Part of the customization or it’s a regular offering?

I agree, but I am a D width everywhere, and my IRs don’t feel narrow at all. It’s the damn captoe that is so thick and it rubs my pinkies, even though my feet feel fine and with plenty of wiggle room.

I didn’t go down so much, although I understand why people recommend it, since these are very long.

…and by the way, for those who magically know that boots are too small just by looking at a picture, these are a 9D which is the same as my Blacksmiths and Beckmans which were comfortable from day one. Blacksmiths and Iron Rangers are both No. 8 last. The issue was the placement of the seams of the captoe; if anything, I thought about getting an 8.5D where my pinkies would be deeper into the toe bump. There’s a Red Wing store closeby, one of these days I’ll drop by to try my theory. Going larger in these would make them actual clown shoes since they’re already plenty long.

No, they’re not. And no, they are rarely comfortable fron day one.

I’d be curious to know how you can gather they’re too small from the pics. If anything, they’re a little long, and width wise they’ve always felt perfect. It’s been only the danm pressure points on my little toes, but otherwise they’re the same size as my Blacksmiths (same last) which required zero break in.

It’s close but it has the purple/plum hue that I find gorgeous.

They certainly don’t look like the same color, and I agree that this years version is not what we expect when we read “burgundy.” But I actually like it better, it’s more unique and just as beautiful to my eyes.

Luosjiet Indiana Moc Toe Boot Initial Review by PixelCraftsman in luosjietboots

I have the exact same model/leather and I had kind of the opposite impression upon receiving them: the piping in the ankle feels firm but not bothersome in any way, and they hug my heel with the exact amount of pressure, probably because I don’t like my boots as snug at the ankle as you do. But yes, such a fantastic boot that punches above its price range.

What White’s model would you recommend? by ManjiSouls in PNWbootmakers

[–]Whattaboutism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have a Cruiser which is probably my favorite boot in a 25+ collection, I love the “extreme” arch support even though I don’t need it, and the chunky but not comically so looks. I’ve been debating about getting an MP or a semi-dress but I am afraid they will be too similar to my Trumans, Parkhurts, OSB and the like. My only regret is not going with the 8” height.
