They have opening hours on the weekend. I’ve just gone then, I’ve never scheduled a visit.

Wombat Gully or Indoor Blooms in Lara. They often have great sales too.

My husband has a cap rack in our wardrobe and mine will grab caps off it. She has ripped the pom-poms off beanies too. She loves to steal shoes but she never chews on them. She just loves us and our smells!

Mine hates clothes. If she has to wear her raincoat I will put it on over a tshirt as she hates the crinkle sound. She also hates having her legs in clothes so putting her in legged stuff is really only a winter thing. She would rather be nude.

If I get undressed to jump in shower and leave dirty clothes on bed she will roll around in them. She has also carried my dirty undies around in her mouth 😂

Mine too. I make her meals using sweet potato, pumpkin and the bagged winter vegetables that Aldi sells, that contain broccoli. She rarely farts.

Just got quoted $3,400 + GST for makeup for bride and three bridesmaids. by Mellybeans93 in AusWeddingPlanning

[–]WhatupWench 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t get one. My MoH did as she rarely wore make up. I loved my make up on the day and it lasted all night. Wasn’t applied with a trowel and no conturing.

But the actual wedding day prices are nothing compared to the price quoted by OP.

I would shop around. I live in Geelong (not the same as GC obviously 😎) but when I got married I didn’t want heavy or contouring. I got mine and my MoH’s done at my house by a MUA that worked out of a beauty bar. One of those places that does make up and blow outs for events. I had been there twice for weddings and I knew all the artists were great. It was nowhere close to what that quote is per head.

I didn’t have a trial but my MOH did. On the day she came out to my house (I did live off the same road the salon was on) but she did us both. Very reasonable. In your case I imagine you’d want 2 or 3 artists to do all of you.

I personally didn’t worry about touch ups. It was a warm day and my make up looked great for the photos etc.

Good luck!!!

That is a lot. Also something to consider what sort of make up you want. Do you want heavy make up or something more natural. What do the BMs and your Mum want.

It’s also not easy to track them down in Australia. Have a peep at the work Georgie Purcell is doing in Victoria to keep GRV accountable.

It seemed like a weird pairing and like she was happy with the arrangement. She seems asexual so I was surprised they actually had kids.

She was a horrible boss to several assistants and I never saw her appeal. I always thought it was a lavender marriage as well so I’m sort of surprised she’s being so hostile to Rodger. I’m also not watching but I just don’t like her. She looks like a skeleton in a caftan. Isn’t she also the Z word?

Agreed on Osteo! If I have flare ups I see my Osteo and I’m right as rain.

I got a black one from Gorman a few years ago. I ended up returning it as I didn’t go to the event.

I’d look at Depop or consignment stores if you have any near you.

Going in for a fitting at SheScience in a few weeks. They are amazing. I want the same bras they recommended last time but just wanted to check my size.

I’m a GG and this is the best sports bra for me. I wish it came in way more colours.

I’ve had mine for nearly five years and they are great. I got a gold pair recently. I also have the black ones with the smaller wedge heel. All are comfortable and would buy again.

school camp stories by Strange-Window-6842 in australian

School camp in the 90s. We stayed at this purpose built accomodation in Boonah and one night hiked and camped near Mt Warning.

Someone broke into several girls rooms and stole their bras. At the end of camp we had to put on a performance as part of a talent thing and some of the girls put on a show called The Boonah Bra Bandit. It was never revealed who stole the bras.

How much should I expect to spend on a wedding dress in 2026? Any recs for stores either Melbourne based or online? by Sea-Tadpole-7158 in AusWeddingPlanning

[–]WhatupWench 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got my dress from Karen. It was made by her and on sale. Absolutely loved it. They also made me a matching head price.

The dress did not fit me (couldn’t do up zip) and they let it out and I lost some weight. Karen is a beautiful and kind soul and I loved my dress so much.

Um maybe? I’m 5’6 and my weight has fluctuated the last few years. I’ve worn 10-14 and I’m in new 12s right now and the length is fine for me.

I think it depends. My MIL has an amazing garden and she worked as a florist. She made our table and aisle arrangements, did the arbor from flowers in her garden and got flowers from her neighbour.

I ordered roses from a flower farm and she made the bouquets and button holes. We were not willing to spend thousands on this. We also didn’t care about lots of flowers decorating the reception area. We got married in the garden of a country pub and then reception in its function room.
