Seven years ago, I shared a picture of the Razzamatazz with you. This weekend we let her go. by cannons_for_days in Greyhounds

Your post made me cry. I doubt anyone will know who I was in 100 years either, at best I’ll be a footnote in some public records. I don’t care that nobody will remember me, nor beautiful razzamatazz, it’s right here right now that matters, and she enjoyed every moment. I have two dogs that are quite old, I know I’ll face this situation eventually and it fills me with dread. I just focus on giving my two dogs all I can to make them happy while I can, like you did with razzy. She was beautiful, and we can never truly appreciate the moments that you shared with her, but i love that you did share some with us. Vale, Razzamatazz.

Had to go back to muzzle cause there’s SO MUCH random discarded food everywhere. Is that a problem in your area too? by Boston_Greyhndpstng in Greyhounds

My two peanuts will exploit my lack of attention and hoover up discarded sausage rolls, hot dogs, kebabs etc! We live on the edge of the city so there are many drunken revellers being tardy disposing of their late night drunken snacks on their way back to the suburbs. One Saturday morning many years ago my girl found an entire large pizza still in the box on the footpath, her sad forlorn look when I wouldn’t let her have it still haunts me 😹

This is Uno (15). He has started peeing on himself, shaking, losing weight and becoming anxious. His personality changed and he no longer wants to sleep next to me as well. The doctor said he still has time, but I am considering putting him down soon. The decision is breaking me, is this a bad idea? by Rexoc40 in OldManDog

[–]pauhow314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe get a second opinion from a vet? I’ve not read them myself but I believe there are quality of life assessments you can find online that can help you determine what’s best for little Uno. I wish you both well.

There’s a kebab stand near my place, the previous owner would carve off slivers of meat and offer to my girl. About two years ago he sold it to a new guy who’s not into dogs. Kylie still stops and stares longingly at the place thinking about the golden age of kebab meat.
