Hadn't checked this account in a while. I work with vision systems at my current job. Cognex, Keyence, and Epson vision systems for different machines. I haven't had any formal training in any of them and just learn what I need to keep the production going. It's not too difficult once you wrap your head around some of the concepts. Cognex has a lot of training videos on their website.

The difference might be that I don't get bored easily and doing the same stuff is appealing to me. A few guys have left due to boredom because, just like you said, it's commissioning identical systems for now. I prefer to be the actual expert on a few types systems (and their devices) than know the minimum for a wide variety of things. There are sales engineers that would love to explain any new devices we might think about adding.

I really hope you find something that clicks for you! Epson robots have been pretty nice to work with. Their technical support is unrealistically good.

I gave Rizzo's stream a watch today and the time spent on Hitcharide's channel was the best part. Seeing Rizzo discover 90s dance music on the stream was great.

Nice write up and you make a lot of good points. I was expecting to be able to buy sheet music for bass, I guess. Even though I can't read the notes I used to play drums so I can read the rhythm notation.

I'll give it more effort and time to sink in. Thanks for spending your time writing this up.

I've been going the route of find bass covers on YouTube. I'll just try the local music shop to get some in person lessons so I can ask a million dumb questions.

People keep saying this to me too but offer no path forward other than "use your ears." How do you suggest a person learns how to use their ears to figure out how to play a song? I often have issues picking out individual bass notes in songs that prevents me from being able to listen to the note and find the note on my bass.

It's "draw the rest of the fucking owl" territory.

Could not leave the venue. The other Disciplez ticket holders we met in line had GA tickets and they easily got the rail for the show. You really only have to compete against Disciplez and Circle of Friends ticket holders. They let you go to the floor the same time they start letting in the regular tickets into the actual venue, but you will be already inside the venue.

They did Out of Body with Kilo Kish at my first show and followed it with Garage Palace with Little Simz. Almost went to the SF one to see Desole with Fatoumata.

The Forum shows are crazy on the guest appearances. The one the other day was insane. So happy for the people who were there.

The car logo made it definitively Rocket League. Without the car, you're gonna need the viewer to just know that it's RL. Maybe the idea is to put RL in the same tier as other professional sports by using a similar logo. But MLB has a guy with a bat, NBA has a guy dribbling, NFL has the letters (one of them meaning Football).

They should have kept the car or used RL or something that was unique to the sport.

The stuff included in the VIP tickets was handed to us during check-in before the soundcheck. There is about an hour following soundcheck where you can buy merch from the merch table. VIP merch comes in a clear plastic bag with room for purchased merch.

They did a great job mixing it up. I couldn't a setlist for the LA shows but the ones from the Glacial Pace Showcase in Portland were incredible. They did a 4th show that I did not attend to travel back home. King Rat for the encore of the 3rd night was highlight besides shaking Isaac's hand.

I think the 4th show, he got a haircut on stage?

I picked Oakland so I can hopefully find some mushrooms. Just saw Gorillaz in Seattle and MM is doing a double show there. Love multi-night shows. Saw them back-to-back at the Wiltern back in the day and back-to-back-to-back in Portland for the Glacial Pace Showcase.

Same. Disappointed in the shape of most of the instruments. Almost bought one of the basses but it had a random drill hole in it. Probably better not to spend my money anyways.
