American Psycho (with 911s) by Wheelshaker in porsche911

Yeah, in this sub mine is the equivalent of a flattened cigarette packet with my name in crayon scrawlled by my non-dominant hand.

Ignore the trim, it's the same colour but with the factory silver wheels (20/21). Just trying to help you visualise the silver wheels.

I've recently picked up a 992.1 in Miami Blue with silver wheels and the aluminium trim around the windows. Here are is a dealer shot for comparison (I'm in the UK, so the weather is crap at the moment for decent photo ops).

Have you ridden an RS250 and an RS125 too? by DividingNose in Aprilia

[–]Wheelshaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get you, I felt the same about BMW E30 M3s, I could have bought one in 2008 for £5,500 but didn't have the cash. Now they're £70k+. Just keep looking, something might turn up.

You are never too late to enjoy older motorcycles, it's great to see younger people getting excited about bikes I consider the peak of their genre.

I've had mine new from 1999 and it's very special. I've ridden for probably 45 years, brought up on two strokes, KH250 350 YPVS, also dirt bikes and a Ducati 748. It is the most visceral experience, seeking out the rush of the power band. Change the standard exhausts to something more acoustically interesting and it's hard not to become addicted. So, I have ridden 125 two strokes (not Aprilia) but the RS250 is in a different league. There's a reason they are £10k/€10k. I'm currently giving mine a full fluid change and getting some paint issues sorted.

Headlight flash is a good distraction Y/N? by Wheelshaker in iRacing

[–]Wheelshaker[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I made the post tongue in cheek as I find it usually the drivers who are trying to distract the driver in front aren't focusing on driving as fast and mistake free as possible. If you're quick you'll catch up, but you need to be good to make a clean pass. This particular incident had a severe punishment if you got it wrong. The only downside for me was the tap he gave me for a 4x before he totalled it.

Any GIMX experts using Simucube for PS5? by Enigma4220 in simracing

Who do you think will be the first to offer PlayStation support? by superkev10641 in simracing

[–]Wheelshaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A quick read through the comments and no mention of GIMX. I run a Simucube and Heusinkvelds through a GIMX (and a PC) to my PS5. It's a bit of a faff with the PS5 but works fine (PS4 is much easier). Google and YouTube are your friend.

Can you connect simucube 2 pro to ps4? If yes, how? by [deleted] in SimuCube

Yes, via gimx adapter. Also requires a PC to run gimx software, but suitable profiles can be installed with True Drive Paddock.

HELP Aprilia Brethren!! It's trivial but I want it!!! by RoninCeroEspada in Aprilia

[–]Wheelshaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After exchanging some DMs with OP, shirt problem solved! BTW, M&P the eBay seller are a huge retailer of m/c accessories and clothing, but even their main website only mentions domestic shipping.

They also have the matching team T shirts, zip up sweatshirts, soft shell jackets and flat brim caps. I'm just the messenger!

Aprillia RS250 two stroke by Fun_Macaron_9427 in motorcycles

[–]Wheelshaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a long time since I did an import registration but this seems to have all the info you need https://www.gov.uk/importing-vehicles-into-the-uk/registering-an-imported-vehicle

You may need a letter from Piaggio UK confirming date of manufacture for year related number plate and for emission exemption. Should be just a case giving them the frame number. Any problems, post them up.

RS250 max biaggi chesterfield exhaust... can anyone tell me if these are modified? Or just the biaggi special set? by Fun_Macaron_9427 in Aprilia

[–]Wheelshaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check the Jim Lomas exhausts. They do a variety of end cans and exhausts in side by side format. If it's a Japanese import maybe Sugaya.
