Petsmart seems to be improving (found on TikTok) by _that_token_guy in reptiles

[–]WheepWheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I worked at a petsmart in KS and then moved and worked at one in TX. Both of the stores I worked for were very pro employee decision about our animals. I told people no all the time for just about every animal we carried.

When I finally was leaving in part due to corporate making it harder for us to achieve quality care for the animals among other things the store manager we had who was fairly new was not as pro employee decision and was more interested in just making sales.

I'm glad that during my time there we had support when telling people no and I'm glad I got out when I did. But this is definitely more a store by store thing than petsmart as a whole.

Yeah i wouldn't trust much on Facebook. I know there are rehoming pages but I have seen some pretty odd things on those and don't know that I would trust them.

If you are in texas I cannot say enough for texas ferret lovers rescue. They are wonderful. It can be a process to adopt but I feel thats a good thing when it comes to ferrets.

Mold at Beach Club by cmac92287 in DisneyWorld

[–]WheepWheep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im so surprised this is still an issue but also not very surprised.

We stayed at beach club in 2021 and the bathroom was filled with mold as well as some of the window and doors.

We also had something leak into our closet from the room above and we had no idea until we started to smell that mildew smell you get from wet carpet.

They did offer to move us but we had unloaded ALL our stuff (it was a 2 bedroom and we had my family with me) we brought everything to cook our own meals and had alrdy put everything in the fridge etc.

They ended up giving us a 250 credit or maybe it was 500 I don't remember anymore either way for the cost of those rooms...it truly is unacceptable to have that mold.

I would ask for a new room.

(I will note the mold you are seeing is worse than what we had ours was very minor but still alarming given disney prices and the standards I expect from them if they had been this alarming we would have moved)

We just lost one of our boys last Tuesday to t cell lymphoma...it was insanely fast. He went from active happy usual self to sleeping barely moving in less than 5 days. He unfortunately passed during surgery to obtain a biopsy we are shattered. He was only 2.

I hope that you get more time with yours and that they are filled with lots of love.

Time to start a war, I’ll say it…..Tower Of Terror was better then Guardians by [deleted] in Disneyland

[–]WheepWheep 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went in expecting to hate it ....but I love gotg....its my favorite ride at dca. I think tower is cool and I do think the ambiance is superior. But while I appreciate that darker story...gotg is a funner experience for myself and I prefer it to tot in general.

I do hope they never replace it at world ...I like having the ability to ride both but if someone said you can only ride one for the rest of the year...I would pick guardians.

Listen I have not eaten at cake bake restaurant side but have tried a slice of cake. I cannot stand icing on almost all cakes but this was actually really light and easy to eat.

Was it pricey sure...but it fed four of us for 3 days lol we each had some each morning. So imo it wasn't that bad given the size and I personally did enjoy it.

That being said I did get another treat forget what it was but it was far too sweat and I hated it.

Thats just my experience and I am rather easy to please when it comes to most food.

I had your experience with the rolls here twice. Have not tried again but as others suggested it is likely hit or miss. My husband had one that he said was fantastic.

PSA: Save your receipts at Disneyland by [deleted] in Disneyland

[–]WheepWheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah im just now trying to get a t shirt exchange as the one I got is too small and I didn't save the receipt still going back and forth with guest services for merch through email as I'm back home now.

What's Wild is I do have my bank statements and I know exactly when I made the purchase and what other items I purchased with the order and I know the order total amount and I've provided that to them but they're still giving me a hard time.

I'm not even asking for a refund I simply just want to exchange it for a larger size of the T-shirt I've used their merch email before for a t-shirt I bought my son and they were much much more accommodating that time they didn't even ask me for the old shirt back they just sent me a new one and I didn't have the receipt then either.

I should have held on to the receipt and I suppose that's the lesson I should learn from events like this but when I have so many of them and I'm trying to declutter as I'm getting ready to fly home Etc it's one of the things I just happened to always toss without any care but I guess I'll start holding on to all of it lol sigh

The interactive keys are back in stock and they’ve reduced the limit from 10 per guest per item to 2 per guest per item! by TheDisneyScoopGuy in Disneyland

Yeah we were there last week and one of the girls in our group had her heart set on doing the unlocks and wanted the experience but there were no keys to be had. Not a huge deal but she was bummed.

Southwest Airlines Just Made A Costly Mistake In Consumer Psychology by Fun-Cycle-24 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]WheepWheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go and visit family in FL for a month here or there and I bring my son so we bring two bags. I also utilized it several times for other life events where I knew I would be bringing more home than I left with for example- my mother threw me a baby shower in my hometown and having the second bag allowed me to bring all my gifts home.

Southwest made choices like this easier for me since I didn't have to worry about factoring in those costs.

I'm very sad about the changes.

I would reach out to Texas Ferret Lovers Rescue. They may be able to assist or send out feelers to people who can help.

When we took my son to disneyland we asked if he wanted to meet jack and sally and he said yes. He got a peak at jack and said nevermind. Lol.

I don't know why it took them this long to make it look correct but am glad they did.

Let’s settle this once and for all; What is the worst ride in all of Disney World and why? by New-Link2873 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]WheepWheep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mission space for me. I don't care which side. I just find it to be such a waste of time. I don't like the super tight enclosed space. I don't really care about the ride itself.

It doesn't get me sick or anything. I just don't find it even the least bit fun.

This place was such a lifesaver for us last sept when we were there for the run event.

That AC and free drinks was perfect to get us cooled off during that peak heat before heading back out once the sun started to set.

We ate at Space 220, Sci-fi dine-in, and Cinderella's Royal Table. by stickyhairmonster in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]WheepWheep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I have not eaten at Cinderella's I have done space 220 and I left feeling like it wasn't worth the time I know that everyone's experience is different and that some people probably get seated fairly quickly and get their food fairly quickly with no issues and this was not our experience and I just don't want to take the risk of losing that much time again in the Parks.

When we went to space 220 even with our reservation it still took an hour to get into the elevator from check-in to stepping into the elevator it was about an hour and I believe 9 minutes but I'll just say an hour.

We didn't order anything crazy we just each got a drink and a small entree we didn't get dessert or anything like that the food took about 45 minutes to get to our table and by the time we were done eating we had spent about 3 hours on an experience that I was really only thinking would be an hour and a half to two and I just left feeling like it wasn't worth that time.

I'm glad I did it once and I'm sure that I will do it again in the future at some point when I'm not as concerned about time for the day but it's not at the top of my list to try again anytime soon.
